Just wanted to say Thank you to all who commented and provided advice.  He has found a home with 2 other dogs and already settling in!

They are high energy when puppy age.  I have a high energy dog and I take him to puppy daycare.  He is part terrier and he goes non-stop.  I can't believe the difference.  There are rescue organizations that will foster certain kinds of dogs and even mixes until homes can be found for them.

I'm sure you can take him to the Humane Society and they will make sure he gets a great home.  As cute as he is, he won't be homeless for long.
