I know what you mean about the flexibility. I'm not an official. So I substitute in whenever the regular reporter is taking a vacation or something.
I like the flexibility of not being "on" everyday too. It has helped out during the slow time. Of course, I don't usually get in on the juicy stuf. Just calendar here and there. But not too bad. I've gotten maybe one order for a transcript, so it's mainly per diems. But it's nice to come home and not worry about producing a transcript. At least for a while. But the problem is, if they don't transcribe, I have to keep the notes around for eight years. That's a long time.
I had a 10:00 o'clock in Redlands today. Good money, so I didn't mind the drive. But Saquib asked me to go to Palms Springs tomorrow.....uh, no can do, man....my attorneys today are requesting a "rough" by Friday a.m.
Thanks for the offer in October. I'll talk it over with the posse that's supposed to go to Vegas. I'll keep you in mind...and so will my pockets
It went really well, and it was a 1/2 day. I have a 10:00 o'clock in Redlands tomorrow. I don't mind the drive. Driving soothes me since I'm in front of the computer most of the time.
I spoke to Ms. Lavine (Lavender) today. I told her you were expecting...she says congrats and she mentioned a mutual friend of yours, Cynthia....I know she's mentioned Cynthia to me before, but we've never met.
Anyway...I'll catch up with you soon. My friend from school and I were talking about Vegas in October. She's encouraging me to go, but Edwin's going to the Philippines in November and funds are going to be tight for a while. I'll have a sitter in Vegas, but hotel and etc....we'll see.
I'll hit you up when I'm in town. I miss you girlie!
Unfortunately, I couldn't make it. My son's granddad passed away. I had to fly out to Texas on an emergency basis. I wanted to go, though. You should call me when you're in town, and maybe you, me and LAVENDER -- i know you know her -- can do something. Here is my regular email cbicad1998@yahoo.com. and I'll give you more info on how we can contact each other. Good to hear from you.

Hi Paulina,
It was so nice to meet you too. That was a great outing, huh? That was my second one. I've know Marla for years...she's amazing. I don't know how she finds the time to plan these outings!!! I hope you can make it to the next one. Keep in touch ~ christine
Hey Paulina,
Good to see you on here. How are u? I just took the county test and I passed the proofreading portion. My interview is on August 7. Wish me luck. Please keep in touch and let me know how you're doing. I'm so glad to hear from u.
Thanks for responding. Well, one of the main reasons that I'm looking at NV is because of the cost of living. It does seem to be cheaper and the housing looks beautiful. Also, like you said it's a lively city and since I've grown up living close to a city (I live in NJ) thats what I'm used to. Oh, and the weather would be fine with me, I hate the cold months out here. But, I don't want to move there if the work is not plentiful. I really don't want to struggle. I will take your advice and ask some other NV Reporters about the available work in their area.
I also have been looking at CA (San Diego, LA, etc) as an option but I know the cost of living is very high. I'm just ready for a change, preferably somewhere sunny. :)
Hi my name is Dawn, and I'm currently a student in NY. I'm writing you because I see that you just moved to Nevada last year and I've been thinking about moving out that way for a while now. How do you like it out there? Is it difficult or time consouming driving back and forth to CA?
All right, I'll check my address book to make sure there's not an extra letter stuck in there and send another e-mail today. And, yes, I'm doing good. ;-) Talk to you soon!
Hey there, Paulina!
Great to see you! Sent an e-mail January sometime. I'd lost some addresses in Outlook, so if you didn't receive, get in touch with me directly. Take care!
Paulina:
Thanks! I had no idea that little icon could be so useful & hold e-mails. What can I say... I'm not computer or MySpace savvy! So we got the info. we needed, and we're in the process of finding out whether the case was filed in Nevada or CA. We'll let you know if we can use you! Thx again for the info! --Steph

I've been busy w/court stuff. It's slow in CA too in terms of depos. Hope it picks up soon.
Are you going to find out if it's a boy or girl?
How are you feeling?

I'm still having elbow problems so I'm trying to take it easy too. I think we're moving into the season of expedites though.
