Hi Tori,
I'm actually not available tomorrow since I'm sitting in on a depo in Durham. I have to leave here around 10:30 and I don't know when I'll be back. If you wanted to meet early, that might be an option or later in the day. Obviously, I don't know when I'll be back.
As for Friday, I won't be here. My husband and I are leaving for Florida Thursday morning. A family situation came up last night and we have to go for a quick trip down.
Let me know what works for you.
Thx,
Faith
Hey, Tori,
I just glanced at your "about me" section. I was the operations mgr for my firm too before I became a reporter.
Anyway, forgive my ignorance, what is the Realtime Coach that you talked about in your last msg to me?
Thanks,
Janiece
Hi, Tori,
Thanks for your advice on taking the realtime exam. What material do you use to practice and where do you get it? Do you get old CRR exams from NCRA or what do you recommend?
Thanks,
Janiece
Glad you're back. I had just gotten through reading Trina's blog on the Gov. before I headed to my page, and I already was having happy thoughts hearing from you and you being a part of my broken record. :)
Hopefully this will shake a few people up. I'm sure it's going to be a day-to-day struggle for quite a while now, and while I'm on my last fingernail, I have my boy to worry about AND so many students and reporters that I really love.
What a time to start trying to make it in this field!!
I'm proud that Clay realizes RT is his future and that it will put him head and shoulders above most in our profession.
Preaching to the choir again . . . :)
Have you joined the Magnum Steno Fan Club??
Mark is with us.
I've been off the boards for a couple days. We had an end-of-the-year swim party for my first grader's class yesterday. We had so much fun.
Since my husband's open heart, etc., he's been really involved in my little guy's classrooms, volunteering one day a week. He started last year when Cade was in kindergarten, and my husband is an absolute hero to the kids. They love them. All the moms told me yesterday how jealous they were of my husband because "Nobody's funner than Mr. Frazier!" :)
Anyway, I'm glad he's finally slowing down, so hopefully I'll get to enjoy him for a couple more years.
Her name is Connie Perks and the c/r firm is in Philly. She just asked if I knew you and I told her I did and that I always enjoyed working with you in the past.
Good to hear from you and I hope all is going well for you. I was at a depo yesterday (Thursday) and the court reporter asked me if I'd ever worked with you. She works with Golkow Technologies and said she had talked with you in the past..
Hey Tori,
Glad you liked Boston. It's a great city !!
But these ones on your site look more exciting !
Congrats on the 10 year cancer free. I am a mere baby steps 6 months cancer free, but nonetheless, everyday is a gift !!
That's how I found this site. I was looking for help scoping when I was home recovering from BC surgery in the fall.

Hi Tori,
Wow !
Good to see you here !! I saw this site develop over the last several month so much. It's been a great resource !!
I am doing well. How about you ?
Tori, I just watched your Vegas slideshow in big vision! Love the pic of you with the hat!!! Man, it brought back memories of last year, wandering around with Debbie, my best friend since fourth grade. I called her that weekend and said, "Guess where we were one year ago?" Then we cried a little because we coudn't go this year. Well, not really, but I felt like it!
Please post some info in the Eclipse section here when you get a chance. Nobody has told me anything yet about what they learned. I haven't read any posts on any forums about it. When you get a chance - I know you're super busy. I'm bogged down still with RT testing out of my equipment, and now I learned I need to upgrade my StenoCast X7 to the StenoCast Red! Frustrating!
I saw a few minutes of Bette on TV yesterday - she looks beautiful! You're so lucky you were able to see her show - and get such great seats! Trips are fun!!!
I'm back. I've been so busy in the past year with the new job I've not been much of anywhere, at least not like I was. I'll try to be more diligent in hopping on the boards again.
try to use my desktop monster Great idea! When you have time, of course! I just bound up a depo I took last week myself. Work has been so slow here, but I'm still running on the wheel! Yes, keep me informed. I'm crossing my fingers for you and Barb being able to see the show. My friend Debbie and I saw Cirque - Mystere - such fun in person! Just getting away is great. Now I'm making myself feel bad - missing out this year. Hope I can find some chocolate around here!
Tori, I am really curious to hear if your translation is so much better on a more powerful computer. So many people feel a mediocre translation is just their writing, when it is truly the software and the power of the computer. I need a nice backup computer as well, and I really have been hearing good things about that Lenovo. Unfortunately, I have spent all my money - and more - on upgrading to the Gemini Grand and purchasing Stenocast X7, which is still sitting here in its box! I had such a wonderful time at the Eclipse deal last year in LV, and I am so sorry I will be missing meeting you and Barb in person this year, but I have all my points and no more money! Have you seen the conflicts over in the Eclipse group on this site yet? So nice!
My name is Faith and I'm a student just finishing up school in New York. I'll be moving to the Raleigh (Wake Forest) area within a month or so. I'd love to chat with you about working in NC.

Did you hear Clay passed the RPR??
I'm trying to get him to go to D.C. to take the CRR.
BOIT, You just talked me into going to Starbuck's -- and it's noon here.

What is a no-court week? And for that matter, what is a normal life? LOL
I'd love to meet. Let me know what works for you and we'll figure out a meeting place.

We'll get there, I am sure. !
