Thank you so much for the friend request. It looks like we share the same birthday, so Happy Birthday to us :-) I'm glad to hear your daughter is doing better and you're back doing what you love. Have a great weekend and I look forward to getting to know you.

Hi, Michele, Bradenton is south of here on I75. Brandon is about eight miles east of Tampa. If you're ever in the area, visiting, let me know, and we'll have lunch.

Welcome back to court reporting. I raised my kids most of the way then started reporting. It's been a great profession.

Florida doesn't require certification as of now. The FCRA has been pushing for it for years but as of right now it's not required.

Both of my cats were strays too. I think they just pick their people :) I noticed that you have a garden picture. I love to garden! It really relaxes me, especially after being in school!

Hi, Michele. I'm actually from your area also. I was born and raised in Weirton and commuted to court reporting school at Duff's. I've been in Atlanta for 20 years, though. Good to see you (and your dogs) on CRNation.

Hi Michele!
Here is a link to the Kansas CCR application. It should contain everything you need! If you have your PA CCR, you might be able to get one in KS without taking the exam, assuming PA has a simliar exam.

Good luck!

Hi, Michele. Glad to hear you're back reporting again. I haven't been on the PCRA board for quite a while, but that could have been where we met. Will you be working on your own, for one of the agencies, or in the courtroom?

Hey Michele, How long did you take off from court reporting? Are you working now or preparing? My mentor took off time to be a mom and is now an official and has been, I think, for the last ten year. I think that's awesome. If I ever pass this test I don't think I'll stray because I certainly don't want to have to do this again. :)

It's certainly not as cold here as it is in PA!!

Hi Michele -- At this point, there is no certification for the state of South Carolina. If you want to do Freelance, you can come and start working the day you get here. If you want to work in the state court system, you will need to pass the State exam that they give, which is 180 Lit, 200 Jury, 225 Q and a WKT. Keep me posted would love to get to know you.

Hi, Michele.

Welcome back! We have had several jobs in Pittsburgh in recent months. They were realtime jobs and/or overnight rough drafts. Let me know what kind of work you like to do and what services you offer and we'll add you to our list of very special people.

That's a redfish. This is the fish from Louisiana that started all of the blackening of fish, chicken, meat, etc. Some of them get up to 50 pounds or more and they taste GREAT!
