Hi, Annette,

Hi....I'm sorry I missed your note on the computer tray page. We had an unexpected death in the family, and things have just been really bad. Anyways, I didn't realize the price wasn't on the ad (I have since fixed that). They are $50 plus $10 Priority shipping if you are not local to the Fontana area. Thank you for contacting me, and have a great day! Cindy

Hey Annette! Hope you had a good weekend. That is awesome you had such a nice attorney for your first job. I hope I luck out like that! It is hard when missionaries come and go. You can really get attached to some of them, and I know it is hard for a lot of people when they favorites leave. Especially when people have different teaching styles, it is hard to adjust to someone new. My brother opened his call on Saturday...he's going to Melbourne, Australia, and will be speaking Mandarin Chinese! He is so excited! He leaves in November. I'm glad to hear that things work-wise are going well for you. I'm sure the ups and downs of everything is hard...that is one part I'm not looking forward to! I have a Stentura 8000LX and have the student version of Eclipse. I am planning on buying the professional version in a couple of weeks (hopefully) when I pass my first 225. DC/MD/VA don't have state tests at this point - you just have to be a notary in the different jurisdictions to be able to go out and work. I have my notary already in DC and sent in my MD application last week...just need to send in my VA application now. They are looking into making certification a requirement for MD, but for right now there aren't requirements to work. I sat for the RPR in May (got blown away because I wasn't even close to ready speed-wise) to see how things work, and plan on taking it again in November.

Hey Annette, sorry for the delay. I took a weekend trip to SC to see my cousin get married. It was awesome! Yes, I am finally at 225! Trying hard to get out in a month or two - I'm ready to start working! I have been sitting in with court reporters once a week since February. It has been awesome! It has really boosted my speed and I've learned a ton.

There are a lot of people that struggle with the WOW thing, and I can understand that on some points. It isn't always exactly clear cut of why you aren't supposed to do something, and that frustrates a lot of people (myself included with some things!). I think what it boils down to a lot of times for me, when it isn't cut and dry, is faith. When I was growing up I thought that I had too many rules to follow and that the church was super restrictive, but now I understand that all those rules are in place to help and protect me. Took me a while to figure that out! Congrats to your kids on their baptisms, that is a big step and I hope that they will be happy as they continue to learn more about everything (you too!). Are you still meeting with the missionaries? Make sure you ask any question you have. They are well prepared for the questions that a lot of people ask, and are usually better equipped to answer the "hard" questions that people have. My brother should be getting his mission call this week!! We are super excited for him.

We don't have any kids yet, but are planning on adding to the family next year sometime. How is the work going for you nowadays? Light, heavy? How much do you work?

Annette,
I wanted to respond here instead of taking over the other thread. Where are you from? I'm living in DC with my husband and I'm a student still. I'm working on my 225s though, so I should be out in just a couple of months! I'm in a part-time program and am really just ready to be out there. I'm working full-time at a different job right now and am pretty busy, but I am practicing tons so I can get working!

My husband joined the church when he was 14 and 3/4 of our ward here in DC are converts and so there is plenty of discussion that I hear all the time about life "before the church"! If you have any questions that I could answer, please feel free to ask (and I'll make sure to do the same with my court reporting questions!). How many children do you have?

Those were great tips, Annette! Thank you so, so much! I'll definitely keep them all in mind... and DO THEM! You know, 'cause I agree with you -- our mothers were right! Hahaha!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Keep in touch,
Christine

I thought it was you! :) Hehehe. Nice seeing you here, Annette, and glad that life is treating you well. :)

Yes, I'm practicing, practicing, practicing... I want to get out of school by next year! Do you think I can do it? Hehehe. Any suggestions for a court reporting student? The do's and do not do's?

Yeah, Salpi was always on top of things at Jonnell's. I was only there for 3 months, but I'm grateful for all that I learned there.

BTW, I like your page. Cute! :)

OK, hope you have a great week! Oh, and any court reporting tips you can send my way would be much appreciated! Thank you for the kind words as well.

Take care,
Christine

Hi, Annette.

Hope you have a GREAT BIRTHDAY!!!

Just wondering if I know you... you look so familiar... did you (or are you still) work for Jonnell Agnew? I was there for about 3 months about 4-5 years ago. I was the detailing person. Salpi was the office manager at that time.

Anyway, if you are the person I am remembering correctly... then HELLO! NICE TO SEE YOU HERE! :)

And if not... SORRY! Hehehe. Honest mistake.

Again, hope you have a great year ahead of you, Annette!

Christine
