Does anybody still use/scope with GlobalCat?

I'm a reporter who still uses this software. I have tried others, but always come back to this one. I love it because I can use my steno machine to edit with. Problem is, I haven't found a scopist who can work with it. They are a company that is now defunct. I hear aristocat can translate any file. So are there any scopists out there who can work with GlobalCat? Or have GlobalCat? Or who can scope a word 2000 or 2007 document that I have imported my file into? Much obliged to anyone who can help:)

I am an old court reporter going back into reporting because of the economy. I tried to download a freebie of professional Globalcat. The only thing available is the student version. Can you make me a copy of your software?

Hi Mary Jo. I read some of your earlier posts regarding GlobalCat. You were the only other user I could find. Do you know how to use GlobalCat to scope with? Or are you trying to report with it? Is scoping something you could help me with?

I never actually used GlobalCat. Apparently they have been out of business a quite a few years. I got out of reporting just as computers were coming out (and they were $30,000 systems), then just coming down to $15,000 or so.

I'm looking for someone to scope with it. I don't think there is such a thing as a "free" version of the professional, because you would have to have a dongle and codes to operate it. Have you tried Digicat? There is also a version out there that writes directly to Word. How awesome is that? I'll have to look up the name if you're interested. He offered it to me at a discount. I think it was 2,500 or 1,500. I can't remember. I didn't buy it, because GlobalCat also writes to word. After trying digicat's free version, I just decided to stick with what I had. I'm sorry that I can't help you with getting a GlobalCat software. You might also try one of the online stores that rent or sell used software. Best of luck to you, Amy:)
