Laws Reporting has over 45 years of court reporting experience in the South Florida area, currently looking for shorthand and QWERTY transcriptionists to work from home transcribing criminal court transcripts. All experience levels are welcome as transcripts range from discovery depositions to court proceedings and appeals. We can meet your needs with 15 minutes to multiple days of transcription. I need a typist and/or scopist. I have a one-hour audio I need returned about 2:00 tomorrow, CST. This is extremely easy. Audio is great. Two attys and the witness is a psychiatrist. Plaintiffs in M/V accident. I have done 99 pages and there's one hour left. Somehow broke my computer. It probably saw me with no make-up on. Anyway, I am on Case Catalyst, but since it's just being typed it doesnt matter. I dont know anything about Word software, but it doesnt matter. I will try to email my set up numbers if I can. I might be able to srnd a pdf, but not sure. Let me know your rates are for the future. For this depo, because the turnaround is so quick, I will pay most of what I would get for a copy. Experienced legal transcriptionist seeking additional transcription work, particularly Florida digital court work. Will accept work from any state as well. I am also a trained scopist. I use Eclipse, Case CAT, Word and have WP although I really haven't used it too much. Experience with Court Smart and several other programs.

Legal Transcribers Needed: Transcription agency located in New Jersey is a certified legal transcription company currently seeking candidates to subcontract for our company. This is a telecommuting position, but you must be willing to travel to NJ to take the State test.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of six months legal transcription experience, but we are willing to help motivated individuals get started in the transcription industry.
You must possess excellent grammar and punctuation skills, a basic understanding or the ability to quickly learn about court procedures and terms, and a fast, accurate typing speed. Ideal candidates should be able to type 80-100 wpm. Court reporters are also ideal for this position.
Pay is based on a per page basis and the requested turnaround time. The ability to meet deadlines is crucial. Required turnaround time will vary from 1 day to 26 days. Must be available weekends and nights as needed.
Training: You will be given training files to familiarize yourself with the work and our procedures. Please note the rates below are the training rates only.
Training Rates are $1.00 per page. Once certified, your rate will be based on the turnaround time for each job assigned to you.
IMPORTANT: The candidate must pass the NJ State Certification exam, which needs to be taken in person. Please note, it is required that all work is completed by NJ Certified Transcribers, and no alternative certifications are available. The candidate must be willing to travel to NJ to take the exam. If you are not willing to travel for this test, please do not respond.
We can only accept typists who reside in the US. You must be a US citizen to apply for this position. Also, the candidate must pass a background check.
We are looking for candidates to begin working as soon as possible and candidates who are interested in a long-term position. You must produce 50 pages per week in training.
After 6 months of being New Jersey state certified you must be able to produce 300 pages per week. You will be required to rotate on daily orders, which are due the next business morning.
