I bought a Kindle recently and have become a voracious reader lately.  My favorite was "Unbroken."  Amazing book about WWII.  Nothing will top that book, but I need something new.  I am done reading.

Anyone have any suggestions for me?

Okay.  I am a third of the way through Sarah's Key.  Very, very good book.  I can't help but feel this is a true story.  I don't think I read that anywhere, but it has to be since it's about the holocaust.  Anyway, if anyone wants a good book, it's worth the read too.
A Fire Upon the Deep...  It sucked me in, and poof went the weekend.

Thanks, Sue

I am going to Amazon right now to see what this book is all about.

I'll check out Sarah's Key.  Got a kindle not too long ago too.  It's wonderful.  The Gregg manual lives in my purse!
Here's some fiction suggestions:  The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova --- the Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters --- The Rembrandt Affair by Daniel Silva (Holocaust theme) --- the Mary Russell series by Laurie R. King --- anything by Tana French, Janet Evanovich, Elizabeth George or Rosamunde Pilcher.  (Sorry no non-fiction...I read to escape..hahaha)

Okay.  I finished Sarah's Key last night.  I like reading about the Holocaust.  Just downloaded The Girl in the Green Sweater and Memoirs of a Holocaust Survivor.  We will see how these books go.  They got great reviews.

I do think, however, that Sarah's Key sort of dragged around the end.  I was getting bored.  That's just me, though.

Hi, Kelli.

Have you ever read the Alphabet Crime series, by Sue Grafton?

If not, they are definitely worth a look.  Start with (of course!) "A is for Alibi."  Since you're a big time reader, you might find it easy to figure out Whodunit ... but by the time you reach "D is for Deadbeat," it will become much more difficult.

"V is for Vendetta" is due out in the not-too-distant, so that series will keep you busy for quite a while!

Thanks, Glen

I do know I like true stories the most.  I did love "The Hunger Games" though, which is a trilogy.  I need to pick up the other two books.

I don't know why I am so into reading lately, since I seem to read for a living.  I love losing myself in a story.  So fun.

You're welcome, Kelli.

Unfortunately, I don't have any true stories to recommend -- unless you like scary stuff.  If you do, there's a blog you might find interesting ....

Often thought about starting those, but Im engrossed in Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum series which will take me a while.  Also working on Karin Slaughter's Grant County series, but hopefully Grafton's selections will make it on my list after that.

Are they all really good reads?

Hi, Terry.

I'm not normally a big mystery fan, but I did enjoy these!

I stopped reading around "P is for Peril," and finally decided to get back to it ... but I misplaced the copy I picked up for that purpose.

Just found it today, but I'll have to finish the final book in "The Tower and the Hive" series before I (re-) dive into it again.
