Hi, everyone.  I hope I am posting this in the correct place!  I just joined CSR Nation.  I am a 10+ year reporter, and almost all of that time has been in CA as an official.  I am now in CT and doing remote CA depositions.  My question is in regard to international jobs.  I have done only a couple, and the attorneys stipulated to the deponent being sworn in by a CA CSR.  I was recently told by a videographer/notary that certain countries strictly prohibit depositions and/or US reporters swearing in and that they can/will extradite anyone who participates in such a depo.  This sounds scary, and I definitely don't want to be trying to research a country on the fly while the attorneys are waiting to start.  Does anyone have any advice or experience with this?

Thank you in advance!

Boy, that's news to me.  I have no idea.  I'd ask the agency you are working for.
