I received an e-mail late in the day yesterday from someone in the east coast who claims to be a staffing specialist with a nurse staffing company.  The subject field reads: call us at xxx-xxx-xxxx if you are looking for case catalyst scoping work... thanks!

She gives both a Maryland and a toll-free telephone number.  With a little Google searching, everything checks out fine.
I replied to her e-mail asking for a time to call.  There was a message back this morning asking me to send my number and she would call me this afternoon.

Does it seem strange that a nurse staffing company is looking for somebody with my skill set?  I'm dumfounded; therefore, I assume it's a scam.

Any thoughts?

It's certainly curious.  Maybe they've used the wrong word and really mean typist or proofreader.  Let us know!

I've learned that this is a wife looking for a scopist for her husband using her work email.

I'll be deleting that email.  :)

Husband is a court reporter and she's searching for a scopist for him?  Okay, then!!
