Problems downloading a job

Hi everyone, I am hoping that someone here will be able to help me. A reporter who is on CaseCat 3.2 is trying to send me some work. I am on CaseCat 4.6. I am downloading it from the transfer site, extracting all the files into CaseCat/user/new job etc. The problem is when I try to open the job I receive a message saying that Windows needs to know what program created it. Does anyone know what we are doing wrong? I would some appreciate help so much.
