VistaPrint for Holiday Gifts
This year was a good year for me, and I decided to get some holiday gifts for a few "regular" clients. I wanted to get the USB flash drives with my contact info on them, but they turned out to be too expensive, unless you bought 250 or more.
I ended up getting a mouse pad with a 2010 calender on them and my contact info. I know I go through mouse pads about every year, spilling coffee on them. When the mouse pads get dirty, that mouse doesn't glide anymore. I really like the 2010 calender on the mouse pad, hoping my "regular" clients may find this useful.
Man, it sure would suck if they just took my customized mouse pad and pitched it in the trash. :-(
So my mouse pads arrived yesterday. I only ordered 30. I paid $30 extra to have 1/4-inch mouse pads instead of 1/8-inch mouse pads. Hey, nothing but the best for my clients, right?
When I opened the box, I loved the way they looked, and as I pulled them out, I then noticed that only three of the mouse pads were the plush 1/4 inch. The other 27 were 1/8 inch. Man, was I ticked off.
I called VistaPrint and, of course, got the "press 1 if you're dead" and "press 2 if you're alive" recording, until I finally got a human. I explained my problem, and, lo and behold, VistaPrint said this was very unusual and apologized. They are sending me 27 mousepads FREE, with the correct thickness.
I really don't have that many "regular" clients, but I am happy to get them. I highly recommend VistaPrint for holiday gifts. They handled this problem, leaving me feeling more than satisfied.
Here's a sample of my customzed mouse pad below. I think these customized gifts are a good way to promote your business. In fact, I may get those customzed USB flash drives next time. I like the fact that I can design them right on the VistaPrint website myself with their easy-to-use software. That is how I did my business cards many years ago with raised print. Hey, I look pretty good in print.
Wait a minute! I think there's a good slogan in there somewhere: "We look good in print." LOL
