Can a person be a successful Court Reporter wearing hearing aids?

Debra - I haven't been to this board for a while, but we have a court reporter who is older and wears hearing aids. Now, he started as a young man, but he still has to hear everything and he does quite well. If you have aids that are functioning well for you (and you know if you are hearing things or not - my mother has a rare hearing disorder so I'm well acquainted), I don't see how it would interfere that much!
