I think I did the same thing Anastasia did with unchecking the "automatically adjust clock" box after I had trouble with the time, and that fixed it.

My Bluetooth works great. I never have a problem. The only time I have a problem is when I have to restart Eclipse or my laptop. The Stylus likes to be restarted too. Doesn't want to feel left out, I guess.

ProCAT told me the same thing - that you need the dongle even though your laptop has Bluetooth. They did that so that you wouldn't have to set up the pairing because the dongle and the Stylus are already paired. Or something like that. I don't know.

I was told I could use the dongles to hook attorneys up for wireless real time, though they forgot to mention that's only for real time being sent from your Stylus, not your laptop. They don't support that. Who sends real time straight from their machine?!

The tech people installed Blue Soleil on my laptop for the Bluetooth interface and overwrote whatever came on my laptop. So I've been trying to figure out how to get my laptop communicate with my spare laptop so I can do wireless real time on it since I bought extra dongles. I can't figure it out.

Anastasia, is your Bluetooth friend for hire? I'd love it if he could figure this out.

That support agreement is expensive on the Stylus, isn't it? $400 a year just for your machine is crazy. I'm going to renew anyway, though. It's too technical of a machine to not have it. Plus, they said they could divvy it up into two payments, which helps a bit.

I've had my Stylus for four years now. I only use the Bluetooth. Last year I bought a new laptop with built-in Bluetooth, but ProCAT told me it wouldn't work with the built-in. I'm no computer expert, but a friend of mine came over last weekend and hooked up the Stylus to the internal Bluetooth. Yay! No more dongle! (Good thing since it's broken, taped up, and something inside rattles!)

Linda, you might be having problems with the Bluetooth device itself. That happened to a friend also. And if you tap on the time below, then uncheck the "Automatically adjust clock" box, it will keep the time for you. You just have to change it manually twice a year. I had the same problem.

I have used my Stylus for over a year now. I am not interested in paying for yet another support agreement. I know with Eclipse there are public forums where you are able to find answers but I can't find one with Procat. I have multiple issues with the bluetooth. It hardly ever works. I definitely do not depend on it anymore. Does anyone have any settings for the bluetooth? Also the time on the machine will not stay. I have had help with Procat support several times, but these are two issues I contine to have. Any help would be appreciated.

On my Stylus, there’s no button to push when you want to make a note to come back to something later, like a spelling. You know, like the button on the Stentura?

So I had to start typing a new stroke to make a note to check a spelling. I had to check the Automark in user Settings to SPE*L (my new stroke) and the Display as {NULL}. The null makes it invisible in the transcript, but it's searchable in Eclipse by hitting V (down scan) or R (up scan), then F for Flag Stroke.

I love my Stylus. It's lightweight, has room on the top for me to velcro a mini keyboard, and the Bluetooth works flawlessly.
