Need Help! In the middle of a CART job. Client is happy, but wishes that my screen did no scroll line by line. Does anyone know how to prevent this? Anything would be appreciated. Thank you!
No. There's a full screen, but my new lines are adding at the bottom and the screen moves up with each new line. Makes it hard to read that way. I don't know how to change that. Any ideas?
Newest update. I just updated to 10.5.1 and my numbers are no longer squishing together in realtime. In other words, when I hit the number "177", it comes out 1 7 7. Anyone know a way to change this?
Writing single digits as words. In my preferences, I checked this feature on, but I get March three, 2013, instead of March 3. Same goes for "One" when it begins a sentence. I get "1 thing is..." Does anyone have a solution? Thanks.
Grant - are you using the automatic number conversion with your software as well? I use the number bar, use auto number conversion, and have the write singles digits as words checked and have never had that problem. If you go on ProCAT's Facebook page, they answer questions there also, FYI.
File, print as condensed, and then when the box comes up for printing, save it as a pdf (there's a small box at the left-hand bottom for it). I'm using version 12.
With your transcript open in the Winner editor, there are icons (mine are at the bottom of my screen) one looks like a stack of paper and says ASCII. When you click on that an Export Files screen comes up where you can choose where to export it to. At the bottom you can put in a file name, and then under Save as Type, you can hit the down arrow to choose .PDF. This is obviously where you can convert to ASCII as well. Hit Save, and you have your PDF. For the condensed, there is an icon at the bottom that looks like a a paper that says SQUISH. Click on that for your condensed and there is a button on the left that lets you print to PDF as well. So there's two ways for the PDF. And also two ways to get to these functions: from File at the stop of the bar or from the icons at the bottom.
I took a videotaped depo in which the attorney designated a portion of it confidential. Any ideas how to split up the transcript and have the time stamps match up?
Don't worry about splitting the transcript up and the time stamps. I just scope the whole thing, and then after my proofer does her thing and it's complete, I split the transcript, which means I usually just copy the section that is confidential and copy it into a new transcript. Then I copy and paste the non-confidential portions into another new transcript. I add the covers to both etc. That way the original transcript is still preserved as is. Maybe others do it differently, but I feel more comfortable having the original all together saved and then splitting up the others for the finals. You could also do an excerpt, which I've never done, but you can highlight the section and then hit F-4 which allows you to name and save it in a new file. The benefit to this is that it takes the steno and audio with it. I have another video this Friday. I might try that this time.

Can anyone tell me how to turn on the audio on Procat? I just downloaded it to another computer and the audio seems to be off.
Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of the page #'s from the top
header and insert them into the bottom header. Anybody have any idea?

What mic is everyone using? The one I have doesn't seem to pick up from more than just a few feet

After that whole long answer, I forgot to add that the time stamps will copy over with everything. So no worries about it matching up.
