yep, it's been pretty slow for me as well, but with the holidays, one or two jobs a week was just fine for me, since I'm a snow ski-aholic - just got back last night from Mammoth.
I've got one Saipan depo to transcribe and another coming sometime in the next week or so. My one client has been taking depos in San Fran and has another week in London planned. Since local reporters take the depos, I make a little bit of money on it ($50-500) which helps. Now's the time to get out there and visit some law firms ot try to drum up more business!

Howdy, Kyung. Things are going perty dern good right now for me. Howzabout you? I'm excited about the Hollywood SoCal Outing. Should be a lot of fun. I've invited the agencies again, and a couple of them are bringing gift cards. So nice, huh? And my friend who's a liquor rep has arranged for us to get discounted drinks - yahooooo!

So the learning Eclipse is slow-going. I was thinking I'd be up and running in a couple weeks. The only think that's up and running in full force is my procrastination. I'm good at that.

You're on Eclipse, right? Seems like everyone and their brother is. Any tips for me?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing - we should have a SoCal CSR Outing during the NCRA convention in Anahim this summer. I thought it'd be nice because reporters from around the country could com. I know nothing about Anahiem; so if you have any venue suggestions, let me know.

As far as Eclipse, I have gone through most of the tutorial and have taken one free class put on by Anastasia at Valerie Eames' house (God bless 'em!), and that was really informative.

You're right, the best way to learn it is to use it and edit a transcript. I keep getting rough drafts and LiveNote jobs, and there's NO way I'm using it on those.

I'm just going to have to keep a light calendar for a while. Ugh.

It's going great! Just passed 200 and am waiting to enter the qualifiers. I am hoping to go to the CSR in July, so we will see what happens.

P.S Where did you go to school at? I went to SCSR in Santa Ana until it closed and then to Lee College in Anaheim, which no longer exists

Yeah, the job I had covered on Wednesday is expedited for Tuesday. Good thing I didn't take it, cause the job I did on Thursday is expedited for Monday. With Easter, there would be no way. Our crazy job.......but gotta love it!!
