I started using the identify briefs maybe six months ago??? Love them! I just hung up with Eclipse support. Maybe my freezing on page 95 of my job yesterday had to do with my firewall being enabled. I've got to remember to turn that stuff off before my next job! I'm still at Mom's. We're going to walk soon. Hot, but pretty around here! What's your temp?
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

85 here! We're walking. The flowers are so beautiful in this neighborhood. Hope you aren't just working, working!!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Sounds like a nice day! Scot saw Star Trek yesterday. He liked it. John liked it too. You need to get outside with an umbrella like your dancer here. No sunburning allowed!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

I'm still not getting the CR-NET emails. Are you? I'm posting here because I like to check out your LOLcats! And my ranking points are getting up there again! Ha!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

    My CSR Ranking
    CSR Legend
    8002 points

Okay - I guess I need to start working now!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

I spoke a little too soon regarding CR-NET as I just got two notifications. I guess they're just a little slow. Now I'm off to the copy shop so I can get out another rush job that UPS left by the side of my house - even though Alan was home - and I didn't see until I took out the garbage at 8:00 pm! Good thing today was garbage day!!!

    Brenda,

Thanks for adding me as your friend... Your page is so beautiful! And I like reading your helpful informative posts!

Those work AWESOMELY with my punctuation. I didn't get the "air" quotes until I posted and reread your post.

It so makes sense with what I've done with the P-P W-B combo for colon and dropping the thumbs down on the vowels for the paragraph.

Now we're air writing. We've come a long way, BABY!
  • Michelle DeSanti

Brenda, read your post in NCRAForum also. Do you use the little ASUS with your LS and Eclipse on the job or was that just for the seminar? If so, how do they all seem to work together and did you upgrade your RAM on the ASUS? My wish list includes a netbook and the LS - we'll have to see if I can write on the LS though, hehe. But if Greta can pound away on it, maybe I can, too.
    Thanks!
  • Michelle DeSanti

Thanks. Sorry to hear about the problems. I usually get lucky with the lemons, too. Think that's why I'm so thorough when making large purchase decisions. I usually end up with the highest level techs saying, Hmm, I've never seen a computer do that before. Ugh!
  • Michelle DeSanti

PS - LOVE your music selections :).
  • Christine Kirley

    Brenda,
I wonder if I could ask you a few questions about how writing numbers is tranning for you. I see you are on Eclipse software; I use CaseCat. Currently, my numbers don't tran so well. Do you have any suggestions for how to define these numbers we write out so that, say, $5,525 doesn't tran $5,00025? I have been told to remove all numbers beyond 1-99 and this will help the translation. Any suggestions? I know this is a big question, and I am not in a hurry to resolve it immediately. Leaving for a week family vacation tomorrow. Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

I'll have to send you the pic where I took the flowers from one day. April just sent me a wav file she wants me to synch up so I've got to start working now. Man, it's 11:34 already. I sure goofed off this morning!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

I think you need to take the post to Jill and make it into a discussion entitled "Hyperkey Holdouts?" Something! Jill has taken the hyperkeys in Eclipse and changed them to match her old software. I don't recommend that because of future complications, but ...

I'm thinking there are many reporters avoiding learning hyperkeys. Tami has got her writing short campaign going - maybe you need a campaign of your own! Ha! Oh, I'm just kidding!!!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

    Well ...
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

    local trainer - I'm shocked!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Brenda, I love that new CRF avatar of yours! You need to add to your pics here! Your LOLcats cracked me up just now. It hurts to laugh, though - I ate too many potato chips with sour cream!!!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Hey, how do you write surgical? One stroke? I don't have one!!!

You know April's wav issue? Her Stentura was broken. She had it fixed today. I'll find out soon how much it cost her. I think it's on its last legs! My job for tomorrow went off. I'm kind of glad. Been rushing all day and barely made the post office with those awful jobs.
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

    surgical - SURLG - I'll steal/adopt this!
surgery - SURJ - I've always done this
surgeon - SORJ - SURN is the way I learned in school

    I'm trying BA*J - back surgery
    NE*J - neck surgery

    Great pic!!!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

NURND - in your own word
NURNDZ - in your own words

Just found these while inputting. I bet you gave them to me. They're good!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Yep, I've never used them either. I just made a brief for booklet - BAOLT. We'll see if I can remember. They say it at every depo!
  • Christine Kirley

    Brenda,
Thanks so much for your help! That is great that you resolved numbers so long ago. I have such a hard time not writing exactly what I hear. I am so old school that way. Not sure the resolve for numbers but I will figure it out. Thanks so much again. You are always so helpful to those with questions :). Appreciate you.
  • Christine Kirley

wow!! That is incredible. I am so not wired that way, unfortunately. Yes thanks for the suggestion regarding contacting Jenny. I will write her tomorrow. I am exhausted from being in the surf all day. Have a good night :)
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

BAOKT is way better than what I picked, Miss Night Owl! I get my massage at 10:00 and was so dreaming when the alarm went off. I've had some bad dreams this week. One involving spiders!!! Hey, was there a depoman thread regarding spiders I can blame??? I'll have to check on that.
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Getting ready for job far away today! Weird to be up so early!!! I'm writing you here because now that I'm up to 900 points, I'm anxious to get 100 more! Just shows my silly side, I guess!!!

Have extra fun today! You've been working so hard.
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

What! I come on your page to see what fancy background you've got going on, and to get a new LOLcat, and this is what I get??? Is there no justice!!! I'm suing!!! I want my money back!!! Oh, wait ...

My depo was so boring and so long! Which is kind of good, but I'm tired! I was editing the entire time. I made tons of entries in the global box, spelling out the words if GM didn't have the right choice. I love my new GRA*OIT for add the next stroke into the global and GLEFT for add the stroke to the left. It's so much better to never move my arms up to the laptop. If something requires moving my arms up, I just don't fix it. Now I need to learn the rest of my macros so I can do everything!

Just had Chinese food, and really want to crash! How's your work coming along???

Thought this wish would look nice on your canned theme page!!!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

I'm taking a little break! Been working on my big depos all afternoon! Debi A. is scoping the one from yesterday. It's 150 pages! Booooooring!!!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Maybe we hit her up too much for briefs. Girl can think of them in her sleep, I'm saying.

    So funny and true!!!

I'm going to retran my job from the other day and count how many times I hit reject that brief. I was asking for so many of my own. I can't wait until Jeremy implements more options for A/B. Hope it's in the very next version!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

authorized Eclipse trainer - Hey, you didn't fill me in about this. Last I heard, you just sent an email off. Tell me all when your holiday/birthday time is over and you've caught your breath!
  • Janet

I think cow kitty has found his/her home with you and just doesn't want to go. :)
  • Tori Pittman

Hey, Brenda... thanks for the comment about the babies. Amazing that they've been with us now for two weeks - they're growing like WEEDS!! :)

We've very happy they needed a home. And the older cats are getting used to them. ;)
  • Tori Pittman

BTW... LOVE O FORTUNA! Saw Carmina Burana earlier this year. It was AWESOME!!!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Your page looks unbelievably beautiful on my external extrawide monitor! My background is a screenshot of some fabric with watermelons on it. Truthfully, I love watermelons but I probably have not bought more than two in my entire lifetime. My brother Scot gets them all the time. I feel I have too much sugar in my coffee to justify having a piece of watermelon. Speaking of sugar, yesterday I had two bowls of ice cream. I just got up from my nap, and I am going to have a cup of green tea.

My job, what should have been easy, was extremely difficult with a very fast - and I mean 300 words a minute - brain-injured worker. I had to stop at least three times as I could not understand him. It went for 134 pages! Normally, 60 would be a good deposition for that particular attorney. Anyway, I am pretty sore and tired, and April tells me I have to drive one of my longest drives tomorrow and do a 12:30 and 2:00. This is the law firm where my friend Debbie works at. April would have done it, but she had already accepted a Dr. deposition for earlier in the morning and cannot do them all. I even had to reschedule my massage for Thursday instead of tomorrow!

How are you feeling, you Eclipse trainer you??? I think you need to put a separate post on CRF advertising your services. I don't get any signatures showing up on my CRF posts, and there may be many reporters who did not read the recent exchange mentioning your super Eclipsian status!

Couldn't resist posting this. I'm having my tea now with my PB&J. I need my strength to finish those depos today. (Overly optomistic)!!!

Hope you're enjoying your birthday weekend!!!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

I had fun waiting for my coffee to kick in this morning trying to find the most "Brenda-ish" birthday wish! I really hope you are having fun and not working too hard this weekend. Also hope you have had lots of good yummy treats - some to consume now and some to stash for later!
  • Tami

    Happy Birthday a day late!!!!

Sorry about that. It hurts to type, so I've been on and off real quick.

    You're going to DC??

    So cool!
  • Tami

I have the typical reporter shoulder that I nurse along with massages, etc., along with all the other aches and pains, so when my 15 YAOERLD gave me an "arm bar," it did me in.

I have no idea where my kids get it, but they're extremely competitive, and we were playing a nice game of toss across in the backyard, and I skunked him on a turn, and that's what I got. That's how my middle boys hug, they put a wrestling move on me.

He feels terrible about it, and I think he'll be easier next time. Of course the baseball game in the pool right after my arm was tweaked didn't help. It was Clay and Chase (15) against me and my hubby. I ended up pitching. We were neck and neck until the last inning when my arm just gave up and I couldn't give 110. :)

Guess I need to realize I'm not as young as the brain says I am. :)

Anyway, hope you had fun yesterday.

(I am obviously getting better, or I wouldn't have rambled on so long.)
  • Tami

At least I get off work this week. :)
  • Kyung

Happy Belated Birthday. Hope you had a great one.

Finished it last night! Enjoyed it - but must admit to skimming over a few boring parts! Would recommend it definitely!
  • April McMillan, CRR, RPR, CSR

Tried to send a private msg but your page is set at "blocked messages." Anyway, I was on Magnum St. club checking out the latest. Whoa, who is this guy Gary Wolpow? I don't like the tone of his posts :(

Love the daisies. Your page looks so happy :)
  • Stacey DiMeglio

    Brenda,
I saw one of your posts where you said you can use a StenoRam II with Eclipse. I was told by a sales rep that you couldn't. What do you know?
  • Stacey DiMeglio

thanks. I'll ask support. That's what he told me any writer after the SRII.

Of course you have 60 pages!

Only another CR can appreciate how difficult it is to get away . . .

    BUT WE LOVE IT!!
  • Tami

Hey, you do know you can watch the speed contest, right??

    You got to do it!!

I know you're not into it, BUT it would be soooo nice to hear what you think. My husband thinks we're all CRAZY! It just totally cracked him up.
