I'm with you, Jennie. I love critters, too, but not in my house. I had a squirrel in my basement for a month, trying to nicely get him out. It ended up not so nice.

    Jennie,
I agree -- happiness is the KEY!
(Today is a HAPPY day for me.....I decided years ago to initiate calls on my b-day instead of "waiting" for 'em. Today's no exception. I've gotten to share "happy moments" w/ some of my online friends here, too! Thanks for being a part of my B-day! : )

Jennie, I am also available to help you. I have done transcription all my life. The last company I worked for was a consulting firm that, among other things, transcribed comments from employees from large, well-known corporations both national and global. The employees were given the option to submit comments in their own language but many chose to submit them in English. Needless to say, their comments were very difficult to understand but somehow I managed to capture them.

If interested, please contact me at agbn07@verizon.net. Thanks, Agnes

    Jennie,

I'm fine. Actually, I was close to encountering the killer flood; I was just fortunate that I dodged it by almost half a day. Friday night, I was in transit en route from Manila to my hometown, Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija. The storm was already up. But I was able to hit home before midnight. By the morning of Saturday, I believe the same route, the national highway, that I took had been flooded. Passengers were stranded for as long as 24 hours (a journey that normally takes 3-4 hours). It was just very sad. I'm just happy that I'm safe.As of this writing, I'm about to travel back to Manila. And there's news of future storms. I hope they won't be destructive. My countrymen won't be able to brace themselves for further calamities.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
I have already made my way to katzs, just waiting for lunch time.
There is a big painting of MJ out side with the words "good bye"

there is also a falafel place next to katzs but I just got back from Jordan.
    So no falafel for me.

    No worries Jennie,
I am more worried about users that intentionally come to do business with out a name.
Your not sending job offers.. plus you are an established user on CSRnation.

    Thanks for being a member!

Ha! Up at 4 am working. Now THAT's dedication. I LOVE typing -- would much rather do it than proofreading, but lately I've only been receiving proofreading jobs. I would love to do more transcribing. Not too crazy about accented speech - especially on rush jobs. Everything else is fair game. I'll send you my rates and other info via private e-mail. Chat with you later. ~ V

Once I can find a Pool Place that is smoke free, I may get back into it. I haven't played in years. Just always liked this picture of me... :)

I love this time of year, too. I was in NH this weekend. You should see the mountains. The color was breathtaking! As much as I love the spring and summer, I think this season is my favorite.

I call my boyfriend Sam, even though he wants to be called Sammy. To me, Sammy is a dog's name. My sister has a Sammy dog, too. :)

    Hi Jennie:
Now THATS one instrument that I have wanted to learn for a long time, banjo! How long have you played it, and, what are your fave riffs/songs that you play on it? I love the Civil War movies with a soldier playing banjo on his knee!
    Whats your pooch's name?
    bye

My dad had two Silvertone guitars (Sears brand) I'm guessing from the late 1950s and early 1960s, as I started guitar lessons the week after the Beatles landed at Kennedy and performed on Ed Sullivan! What a time to be a budding wannabe like me ! ! ! Then, two summer vacations later, I had the basics under my belt, and began looking for acoustic guitar players that I could emulate. Voila, Gordon Lightfoot and James Taylor, ala 1969 to 1974 or so, made me get serious. They, my first THREE paychecks from Ford Motor Company in l973 bought my Martin 00028, which I display in my pic,, and still have!
I bet Sammy gets all excited when you pick him a tune, yes ? My older brother learned bass guitar, then six-string, and my younger brother took up trumpet and then drums. Needless to say, we self-taught and cross-trained ourselves for all the contingencies in life that may require us to play various instruments, which was one of my BEST anticipations in life! ! ! I'm in Michigan, where are you ?
    see ya !

As Rob Schneider says in quite a few Adam Sandler's movies, "You can do it!"
  • Karl Immel

Sounds like you're having fun! I am calling it a day.

Accented speeches are the worst! Make sure they pay you extra for the aggravation!

GOOD LUCK! Happy Tuesday then... hehehe. :)

Just saw your day's agenda, Jennie! Wow! Wish I was staying that busy. Even after glowing recommendations from my first scoping jobs it's slow going getting regular work!

Thanks, Jennie, for that encouragement. I appreciate it!

    Hi, Jennie.

GREAT JOB in finishing up that dictation! Isn't the END of a FRUSTRATING job one of the BEST FEELINGS EVER?! Hehehe. I know, for me, it is! Been there, done that, don't want too much of that! Hehehe.

That's awesome that your boyfriend plays pool professionally! Very awesome indeed! Yeah, Filipinos are known for their pool-shootin' skills. My dad is really good at it, but I don't know if he can be called a professional! Hehehe.

So cool how you guys traveled playing pool, hanging out, and getting paid when you win! Nice! Hope you guys get to do that again really soon!

Oh, and those names you dropped -- they're Filipino names all right! Hehehe. I'm not into the pool-shootin' scene, so I'm not familiar with those names, sorry... but I'm sure my dad would probably know them! :)

Have a great rest of your Monday!

    Hi Jennie!
Thanks for the merry bday wish! It's difficult to ignore and a nice addition to my page! You're working well today, it seems. Yesterday I was feeling much the same as Debra mentioned to you and, as a result, mutinous -- quasi-threatening to sell the software even!! Then, the One Reporter in the U.S. who has actual Faith in me sent me a little depo late last night. So, yes, I'm doing something on my birthday that I don't frequently do! ;-)

And, appreciating friends everywhere! Here's a little top-of-the-world view from a Blue Ridge Parkway overlook I took a couple of weeks ago. Colors are more happening now. Oh, okay, that's what I'll do later on as a break from cervical vertebrae trauma testimony!
Fall colors update TK!!! Good working energy to you!

Seeing the amount of work you do, I'm tired, Jennie!

I've had this week off, but when I work, I work like you do -- constantly!

Today is gorgeous here in New England, going to be close to 70 degrees.

Jennie, I saw some of your advice on foot pedals. Quick question, does the Start Stop foot pedal work with Express Scribe? I tried to sync the two, but it wasn't working so far. Thanks!
  • Chris H

Thanks, Jennie for the info. I really appreciate it!
  • Michael D. Chaney

Had to make sure you got this comment on the "haplog" answer...very impressive:
Wow, Jennie! I just had to write to you and thank you for your wisdom. THAT WAS VERY IMPRESSIVE. You are one true professional. I like people like you, makes me smarter, too. Like attracts like and I try to associate with those above me. You are a true gift....PROPS TO YOU! WOW!
  • Michael D. Chaney

Oh, I see now; after reading up on you, you have excellent credentials to boot. good job.

Lol. Thanks, Jennie. I appreciate the info. I was just checking out your mouse pads. That's a really good idea. I will check them out. I've been going crazy with trying to think of something to give to my clients. Thanks for the suggestion and the information.
  • Kelli Combs (admin)

Wow, Jennie, I just woke up and I see your post about working on Saturday and it was left three hours ago. I guess that makes sense since you are three hours ahead. I was thinking, boy do you get up early!!
  • Kelli Combs (admin)

Is your husband or you the professional pool player? We have a friend that goes all over the world to play pool.
  • Kelli Combs (admin)

    Hey, Jennie

Our friend's name is Jeff Szefranski. Don't know if I spelled the last name correct or not. He plays a game called Snooker or something like that. Jeff and Kim, his girlfrend, are wonderful people.

Jeff hates when we get together for dinner and then afterwards we go play pool and I end up being his partner. I am the worst at playing pool. It is fun though.
  • Kelli Combs (admin)

Your boyfriend was in the "The Color of Money" with Tom Cruise? How cool is that? What fun.

You know way, way more than I do about the game. Too bad it is not that popular; it is fun to watch. Baseball, football and golf put me to sleep.
  • Kelli Combs (admin)

All I can say is ouch!!!
  • Christy Heaney

Hello, Jennie! I noticed that you are the owner of a small transcription company and am curious as to if you are in need of some transcription help?

I am located in Columbus, Ohio, but I have Internet capabilities. I have a secure ftp site that you can upload your audio files to. Then I can email the file back to you. I am working on Express Scribe.

I had worked for a local court reporting firm for nine and a half years, as the production manager. I printed the transcripts and handled obtaining the witness' signatures. Right now, I am in between jobs and am trying to start my scoping business.

To be honest with you, I have not done any transcription work in quite some time, but am very interested in getting back into it.

I would certainly love to talk to you about this opportunity. Please either email me at christyheaney@yahoo.com or feel free to give me a call. My cell phone number is 614-332-3185. I have that with me all the time.

    Thank you,

    Christy M. Heaney
