    Ok, thanks for clarifying that for me. I totally missed that it was directed to newbie reporters! And, what you say definitely makes sense and goes along with what my scoping teacher said, i.e. that a scopist ideally should work with experienced reporters and not newbies!

    Thanks for the great compliment. Great minds think a like cuz I was on a depo today and I told the CR about the groups you've started and what a kick you are! I had fun working with you and munching afterwards. Hopefully we'll work together again soon! I'm getting closer to buying a DR so I can copy .wav cds for the CR's. Still searching for the right specs, weight (for my rig) and most importantly... price. Thanks for the input in your tech group.

    I didn't realize you were a Federal Court Reporter. Good for you!! I did 23 years in Superior Court.

    I have worked for US Legal in San Fran and they are fine; you will get paid.  I have a different issue with them, but nothing that would affect you I don't think.

     

    I just took this really good job for them and one of the attorneys never paid, but they paid me and then I got a 1099 for the money for tax time, which means they wrote the money off, and then for the next two years they took chunks of money from my check to get the money back $4,000.  I finally said enough.  Have not worked for them since.
