I'm a court reporting student, too! I'm currently at 160... almost 180! Trying to get out of school by next year! Aren't we all? Hehehe. :)
Please check out my blog -- stenonerd.blogspot.com -- where I chronicle my court reporting journey from student to future working reporter.
I hope you have a truly HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :D

Yes you do still get an associates. I think the majority of my classes will transfer. I am still waiting to hear back from CCR about which classes transfer. They are waiting to get my transcript from CRID (which may be never!!!). I will send you some information I got from a previous CRID student who is now enrolled with CCR. I have already been impressed with their explanation of my financial aid and how promptly they get back with you, either via email or telephone. They are all EXTREMELY helpful. I will just send you some stuff from them and you can see what I am talking about. I had two academics left with CRID. One of them was a class I couldn't take until in my 200-225.
I feel for you taking Speech and English especially because of those two teachers. If it hadn't been for my fiance, I would have failed speech. I wanted to quit last semester because it was HORRIBLE. Oh yeah...I forgot to email you and tell you all about those two classes...but I guess you are finding out now...LOL.
I am heading home from work to go to my fiance's house and paint, but I will forward that stuff either tonight or tomorrow.
