I have been scoping/proofing for court reporters for over 30 years. I actually started typing for them in the ‘80s. In between that time I earned my degree as a paralegal and worked for attorneys for several years and then returned to full-time scoping in 1990. I have experience in all areas of law. I have fast turnaround time and competitive prices. I am on Procat.
Scoping: $1.20 a page
Proofing : 50 cents a page
Hi, Pam. For transcription, I no longer use a set rate chart. I've found that people are paid so differently depending upon area/region of work. I would rather discuss what we both can afford and go from there. I have turnaround as quick as 24 hours. Right now I can handle quite a bit of transcription work. Feel free to e-mail me with any other questions you may have: jlpproofreading@gmail.com
Thanks,
Jennifer
How about you? How's it going over there? I hope you're busier than I am right now. Although I'm glad my job canceled this morning 'cause it's just too dang cold to go out :-)

"My local school" means the one logistically closest to my house that, thank God, I never attended.
Whatever you do, don't go with Phoenix theory.
They write "you" YOU.
It takes three strokes to write bombing, bombs, bombed.
Yes, they come back for a silent -b and all the inflected endings.
My local school switched to it about two years ago, and I just heard they're already switching over to StenEd. While that's not the best choice, it is a sound theory that at least makes sense.
Just trying to keep you going down the right path.
