Very experienced reporter with some time on my hands!  I've been reporting depos for 22 years and pro-temming in court for the last nine months.  I'm not getting a ton of transcripts in court (and pro-tem rates in court are not particularly high), so I'd like to take on some scoping.  My turnaround is lightning fast and my rates are shockingly reasonable :)  My normal habit is to spot check audio when something looks "off," and I will do full audio scoping when requested for a higher rate.  Please e-mail me at lynpenfield@cox.net and help stop my Bejeweled Blitz addiction!!!  I'm on Eclipse V, but I can still accommodate Eclipse IV.

Hello.  I almost never post, but I sure enjoy reading y'all's posts (I'm from Texas).  I am a working official.  I also have taken up scoping for others.  I am on Eclipse.  I use auto indexing.  I received a Gregg Reference Manual for my birthday (my mother knew I would LOVE it -- and she was right).  I am very persnickety with my records and will be with yours too (no comma before "too" per Gregg).  However, you're the boss.  If my preferences conflict with yours, then I do it your way.  I have Dropbox if you prefer to send your files that way.  I am happy to listen with or without audio.

For some reporters, I tag-team with a proofreader I know (or can use yours) and then make his/her corrections (at no extra charge on my part).  That's just an idea once you get to know my work.

If you are interested, please e-mail me for rates and/or references.  Look forward to hearing from you!

Greetings Everyone!

I am a court reporting student who is scoping my way through school!  I have the Eclipse software with my own up-to-date support.  I scope to the full audio of every job.  Before the economy went south, I was an English teacher so scoping has been a great fit for me.  If you are in need of a good scopist, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks,

Experienced scopist/proofreader available for reporters utilizing Digital Cat, Eclipse, and Case Catalyst software.  I have been scoping for over five years and was reporter trained.  I scope word-for-word with audio.

Prior to scoping I was a paralegal and legal secretary for 15 years, with experience in all facets of the legal field.  As a paralegal, I have a strong grasp of legal terminology and have no qualms researching those words or areas that need to be researched.

I have scoped depositions, EUOs, arbitrations, official transcripts such as prelims, voir dire, and trials and subjects such as asbestos litigation, securities litigation, medical malpractice, etc.  No job is too simple or complex or too small or too big.

I am able to accept sound files via email in .dss format, .wav, .wma, or mp3 formats and will be happy to supply you with access to my file sharing account if you don’t have one.

I offer quick turnaround and competitive rates.  I also am able to accommodate dailies and expedite work.

Lisa Urso, Scopist:

We have been working together now for about four years.  I have always enjoyed working with Ms. Urso.   She produces wonderful transcripts for me, and I will continue to use her.  I have done dailies with her.   She's always on the ball and spends the time to research names, always flags things for me to check.
I will continue to use her for future work.
