There are only a few reasons that you would not be getting emails.  First off, I think you only joined recently so you might want to look in your spam mailbox for the emails.  That happens a lot to members.  If they are not there, you need to go to settings and then hit on "email" and then go through the boxes and make sure the appropriate boxes are checked.  Make sure you check the box for email from groups.
