I began as a notereader back in the day, having graduated from Merit College of Court Reporting in Van Nuys, CA, then transitioned to a scopist!  I have worked with the same reporter for all these 26+ years, and am looking for one to two more court reporters to fill in too many quiet days of late.  I proof all of my work upon completion, and am very, very attentive bordering on psychotic regarding time deadlines, very fastidious and up-to-date on spellings and puntuation.  I am audio-able and also have Express/Scribe, but much prefer the scoping aspect -- reading the notes, editing what needs to be fixed -- than audio; but, again, I am current on all updates.
