I can tell you that if you're getting paid $2.25, you're underpaid. I know you said that's what you were making when you started out, so hopefully you're making much more now. I know that working in Manhattan you should be making anywhere between $3.75 and $4.00, it all depends if you're a CSR, RPR, are able to provide LiveNote, rough drafts. I think agencies take all that into account. If you work outside of Manhattan, the rates are less though, but not $2.25. Since you've been reporting for 18 years, you're a seasoned reporter and should be compensated as such.
