Well, next time you visit the folks we'll have to get together.    Work here is still good for those who have a plan.   For us, we've enjoyed growth each year because we are about relationships.   One-on-one with attorneys and their staff, one client at a time.   Third-party contracting comes and goes.   None of yesterday's agreements will be here tomorrow, and brand new ones will come and go, but the real clients, the loyal ones, fight to come back.    Please don't hesitate to contact me whenever I can help you or the folks out.

Excellent! Let me know how it goes ... and don't forget to add the baking soda!  :o)

Yes, it's a bit spicy, but you can fix that by leaving out the chipotle pepper, and the adobo sauce ... and use Gebhardt's chili powder.  Throw in the BBQ sauce, and you've got a nice, smoky chili that won't cause heartburn.

I think we were ...! What most likely happened is that you had to recreate your account, and lost a few friends along the way!

So ... are you going to try that chili recipe?  :o)  If so, try not to go over one pound of stew meat for the BQ variation.  Too much, and you don't get that smokey BBQ flavor in the meat.

Hi, Kelli.

Glad you liked the recipe!

I have three more:  One for what I call "The Cheap and Sleazy Peach Iced Tea," another for "The Cheap and Sleazy Mocha" (skip to the part with the ice cream!), and one more linked from the chili article that shows you how to cook rice in your crock pot.  I call that one, "Rice, Rice Baby."

I may have to buy myself another crock pot ....!

Kelli, if you have a crock pot, you can look like you know how to cook, without actually being able to!  Just make up a batch of my Cheap and Sleazy Chili:

http://www.cheapandsleazy.net/chili.html

With some judicious shopping, you can get all the ingredients for about $10.00.

I am working on a variation where you just cook the meat, the spices, and a half a cup of your favorite BBQ sauce (I use Sweet Baby Ray's Honey Chipotle flavor) for an hour or so on high, then add everything else in and cook it on low for 8 hours (4 on high).

If done correctly, your house will smell like you know what you're doing in the kitchen!  :o)
