Do reporters treat scopists fairly?

I am an experienced reporter who has been scoping recently for some heavy-hitter reporters, but I was wondering how the not-so-good reporters treat the scopists that help them. Please do not name anyone personally, but feel free to vent.

Finding ports

Hi. Just bought a new laptop and when I go into my device mangager to look for my com ports, I can't find them in the list. Anyone know how to locate them? I've tried scanning but no such luck. Have a big job tomorrow and I can't get my realtime hooked up.......

Then it wouldn't recharge or turn on. Surely it can't cost much to get it checked. It has the battery charger (which I bought),paper tray, and huge case. It does ot have a realtime cable If you want it, all you have to pay is for shipping. I will also give you a tripod (not new). Let me know.
