 B.S. degree in business administration/marketing with a well-rounded “real-world,” hands-on business/marketing background and vocabulary

• Over 12 years’ experience proofreading for court reporters
• Former certified professional résumé writer/career coach and published writer, providing me with an extensive knowledge of various industries and their related terminology
• Owned and operated a secretarial service for 12 years, providing word processing and transcription services to attorneys, physicians, private investigators, psychologists, small businesses, students and so forth
• Entrusted with highly sensitive and confidential information (willing to sign confidentiality agreement)
• Excellent command of the English language, grammar and spelling
• Extremely detail-oriented and thorough; have a sharp eye for identifying errors and inconsistencies
• Utilize common sense and thinking/reasoning skills to find discrepancies
• Provide excellent service and quick turnaround

 This is how I work: You send me your documents as a text (.txt/ASCII) or PDF file; I read from a hard copy. (Contrary to belief by some, I feel reading from a computer screen is not conducive to catching enough errors.) Then I scan the correction pages and e-mail you back a PDF. Or if you prefer, I can send an errata sheet.
