I am new to this forum.  I currently attend the SimplySteno online program (www.simplysteno.com) while working full-time as a Legal Assistant.  I am looking forward to chatting with other court reporters and court reporting students.

One word of advice is get all your words/phrases down to one stroke and your life will be so much easier.  You should join the Magnum Steno club and learn how to do this.  Mark is amazing.  I just saw him at a seminar this weekend.  He wrote at 300 words per minute right before our eyes.  His fingers literally were hardly moving.
