FedEx horror story - It could happen to you.

So I sent a package out by FedEx ground last Monday, June 16, 2008. Checked online tracking. It said it arrived Friday, June 20, 2006 at 3:05 p.m. w/signature proof of delivery. Good to go, I think.

I get e-mail yesterday, uh, where's the package? I don't know. In your office. No. No. We don't have it.

What address did you send it to? The one you told me to. Spent all day on e-mails back & forth. Spent today back & forth in between other things. After much pushback from FedEx, come to find out the package was still at the FedEx location. It had never freakin' been delivered.

Someone (probably driver) forged signature proof of delivery. Can you believe it? What's wrong w/people? You think no one's going to notice? Anyway, now my recipient is sending a special messenger down to the FedEx facility to pick up the package. These were original documents and I was very stressed that they had gotten lost. Trust no one.

AARRGGHHH - just for stress relief.

Update on the FedEx horror story. They updated the website so that it looks like someone signed for it and it was delivered. However, the signature proof of delivery is gone as if it never existed. I complained to corporate about it. If I hadn't printed out the first one, it would just look like someone signed for it on the 25th.

I am so annoyed that they are trying to pull off this fraud.

Our UPS driver drops all packages at the END of our driveway. She won't even walk up the short walk, put the package away from the street, and ring the doorbell.

My mailman doesn't ring my bell to deliver a package. Instead, he fills out the slip that says he tried to deliver it, and just puts that in my mail box with my regular mail. I assume he fills out these slips at the post office before he leaves with the day's mail, or maybe he just sits down on some street corner. Because of this, I always have to traipse over to the post office and stand in line to get a package (whatever won't fit through the mail slot). How do I know? Because I'm home, I have two yappy dogs, I have a door bell!!! And the USPS isn't helpful with this. I assume this is a way for the mailman to lighten his load (they're on foot here in the city), but it's a real pain in the neck. Sometimes I've stood in line over a half hour, after much grief trying to find a parking place.

My fedex driver "refuses" to go up the stairs in front of my house, he just leaves the packages downstairs. I dont really care but a couple of months ago I ordered an expensive laptop and to my horror he left it downstairs for everyone to see! Oh wait... and to top it of it was raining!!

Oh you don't even want to know what one of the delivery companies did to me. Let's just say I, and my children, ended up being the plaintiffs in a lawsuit. It wasn't pretty, to say the least.

I agree, trust no one, especially delivery companies. They all have their faults, UFL. Find the one that's least objectinable to you and stick with 'em.
