Any suggestions on getting paid by a reporter who hasn't paid me for scoping services for work that was performed and is now 6 months overdue?

Not a chance. And she had the nerve to ask me to do a rush when she hasn't even paid me for the other work. I've sent her invoices. I've spoken to her via e-mail. Everything was fine she loved the work . She's telling me she wasn't paid yet. Has nothing to do with me. I need to pay my bills also. And I'm patient to a point. I will never take a new reporter on. So sorry to everyone for one reporter's stupidity.
Thanks again everyone.

Why isn't she paying you? I'm going to assume you did an awesome job on the scoping. I'm going to assume you've sent her letters and e-mails and called her. Now, send her the certified letter and take her to small claims. You can always report her to the state board if there is a state board. Treat the reporter her like any other business who is not paying for services. I hope you are no longer working for that reporter.

Publish her name so that other scopist can be aware that she doesn't pay on time. Are you the only scopist who's been burned by the reporter?

You can always go to the extreme and threaten to file a grievance with the CRCB. That may get their attention. You can also file a claim in small claims court. I wish you luck. I am ashamed to know there are reporters out there that don't pay their scopists.

Write a letter giving them 30 days to pay or you will file a claim in small claims court. Then do it if they don't pay you.
