I went to the Baton Rouge CFMA's dance this past Friday with my Supper Club Meetup Group and we had a really good time.
The band, Briggs Brown & the Bayou Cajuns, was headed up by a 15-year old accordion player that's been playing for seven years already. It's really nice to see the upcoming generations carrying on traditions.

I'll check into the performing link and post it if I find it. Thanks for yours, too. I love all kinds of music and have really enjoyed bluegrass the few times I've heard it. Isn't the internet great, to foster this kind of sharing?

Oh, man, that looks like so much fun. I would love to see a link to them performing. I love Cajun music. My entire family is into music. They are from Virginia and play bluegrass. I play keyboard and banjo. The children love jamming at family get-togethers.

Here is my favorite bluegrass jam with Steve Martin, of all people, Earl Scruggs, and a slew of country music stars on The David Letterman Show: Earl Scruggs and Friends
