While in CR school, I scoped for an official in federal court. When I stopped, there were scoping jobs I didn't get paid for. Then there are the many attorneys who don't pay THEIR bills to reporters. I think there are unscrupulous people in every corner of this world, not just the reporting field, & certainly not just from NY. Oh, the importance of thinking before we speak (type).

Oh, yes, I remember now. I've known, for a long time now, that NY is an unlicensed state, and I still can't believe it. I often have attorneys tell me what garbage the roughs of NY reporters are. Ugh!!! :(
REALLY?!?!? smh
Hi, Kelli. Not yet. Just finished a capital murder trial, so I've been too busy to follow up on it anymore. It's just the point of it, the nerve, the rudeness. If I collect, I'll be sure to post. :)
Hey, Delicia, did you ever get paid from your deadbeat reporter? Just curious.
Sadly, I've been owed money like that three different times and it's been large amounts. It's truly the beast of this business. :(
Hi, Deborah. I know she's in the minority. Thanks for the support.
That sucks!! Makes the rest of us look bad. We really rely on you guys and it doesn't make any sense to burn you guys!
Keeping my fingers crossed for you, Delicia.
Yay, Laurie! I think she's getting nervous. I e-mailed her and told her I found out I wasn't the only one and that I would be contacting the firms she worked for. Hope I'm next. :)
Retracting my statement that I was stiffed. Check was mailed and received this week, finally.
