I've heard from some colleagues that federal work is great, with consistent work and great pay. However, I'm having a hard time getting my foot in the door, and am curious if anyone else has ever done federal work and how you went about getting it. Any suggestions?

Hi, Angela. We are a federal contractor that are always eager to team with agency's around the country and looking for great talent to perform work. The website above does provide the opportunities that are competed publicly while most jobs are award through approved companies on the GSA Schedule.

Please let me know if you are interested in working together in your area. In the meantime, visit my page and website for information on our company and how we work.

I hope to hear from you. Good luck!

Some Federal Government entities contract out for stenographic services. You may be able to search on the Web.

For example, this website -- FedBizOpps.gov -- you can search by regions, as well as keywords like "stenographic" or "court reporting."

If there is a court reporting company that has the contract in your area, you could contact them and see if they need stenographic support. :-)

This may be one way to get your foot in the door, and then you may see other opportunities.

I am not sure if this is helpful to you, but I thought I would throw it out there for your consideration.
