Yesterday morning, as I sat at my laptop transcribing monster proceedings from a medical symposium, I got a text message on my cell phone from an unknown.

Texter: Hey Baby!

Me: And u r?

Texter: I don't know. its this random gurl who thinks ur hot!!

Texter: Coco puff!!!

As I pondered who the mystery texter might be, it occured to me that my 14 year-old son used my phone the day before.

Me: You must be one of Corey's friends. You think he's hot, huh? Well, he got that from his mama. Please stop txtg Corey on my phone. Thanks, Corey's mom.

Texter: Lls... ok... Corey's friend.

What's worse is this little hoochie girl had no problem texting "Lls" [laughing like s#@t] to my phone. As one of my son's cousins pointed out, at least he can get girls. The question is what TYPE of girls.

Why me???

@Glen: ROTFL in tears!! You MUST post a video of the 18-month old bustin' dem mooves!!! Older siblings can be quite the influence.

@Monti and Stephanie: I don't doubt the numbers at all. I had my son's texting disabled for that very reason. What in the earth do they have to text that much about????

Hi, Valencia.

My youngest niece, Mishawn, is 18 months old, and has two half sisters (9 and 14) who live with their grandparents. The sisters sometimes babysit Mishawn, as they did earlier this week.

Yesterday, Mishawn's mother was playing some old-school rap on her BFR (that's "Big Frelling Radio" -- more or less), and young Mishawn started dancing.

Don't want to come off as a prude, but ... well, let's just say her dance moves reminded me way, way too much of some of the stuff I've seen those "video hos" doing!

Did I mention Mishawn is only 18 months old?!?

Now I understand why having the sisters babysit is an "Only as a Last Resort" option (did I mention the 9 year old skipped school the other day?) ...!

On the plus side, I can still put her to sleep with a Sade or a Tokyo Dawn playlist.

Sure, she still dances, but she's not doing those hoochie-mama moves when she listens to those playlists ... and she goes to sleep pretty quickly!

As far as your son's situation and Coco Puff, I think, were I in your shoes, my curiosity might get the better of me ....
