WHAT'S GOING ON?!?!?!?!

What is going on in court reporting?!?! Is everyone as slow as I am? Please tell me it's just a cyclical thing and that it's going to turn around SOON! Anybody have any thoughts on this??

I've been swamped in NY and PA...Some days I'm turning down 3-4 jobs but also recommending reporters that I know to the agency so they can get the job since I'm working. But the work that I'm doing is more antitrust, patent, securities cases, med/mal...not easy stuff.

We all have been saying this since we all started working....it's feast or famine!!

But all I have to say....when it's slow, then it picks up...so take the time to practice your speed and practice to write better or even just to do the things you cannot do when you are busy

I've been extremely slow here in Charleston, SC, and it's starting to scare me. We just moved here and my husband isn't working yet. I hope things pick up soon!

On an average, 20-30 jobs are sent out in southern California through CSRnation... are you calling some of these jobs back?

I am going to agree on that. The first hint of the nice weather, everyone is gone! Especially here in NY. It did pick up sporadically, but I only worked 2 jobs last week (and one was on Sat) and I know I am not working today or tomorrow this week.
