If you look on your main page in the upper left-hand corner, you should see your name and an envelope next to it. Click on that and that should open up your inbox. But real quickly, here is the excerpt that I sent to you:

NAC 656.320 Acceptance of work from firm; service in foreign jurisdiction. (NRS 656.130, 656.250)

1. A court reporter shall not accept work or assignments from a firm that is not registered with the Board. A court reporter may make inquiries to the Board to determine whether a firm is registered with the Board.

2. A court reporter may provide service as a court reporter in any litigation that is commenced or maintained in a foreign jurisdiction if the court reporter complies with the requirements of the regulatory body that governs the practice of court reporting in the foreign jurisdiction.

So in essence, if the suit is filed in California, I could do the job for you since I am a California reporter. If the suit is filed in Nevada, you would have to network with one of the registered agencies in Nevada. I could still do the job, but it would have to be through that agency. Hope that helps.

Stephanie, it was so nice talking with you this morning. I'm glad to have met a new court reporting friend! I hope we will have lots of work together in the future, and I'll e-mail my attorney friend your firm info. I hope he'll have some work for you! His name is Ryan Hodge, FYI.

Hi Stephanie,

Sorry, but I will be unavailable at the end of January. I won't even be in Vegas until February 2nd. Check your e-mail on CSR Nation, because I e-mailed you the NRS statute a while back. Hope you find someone to cover that job.

Hi, Leslie.

I went to South Coast College in the mid-1990's for a long time, 98% nights. I finally graduated and live in Irvine. I do realtime for myself and for the attorneys.

If you need any help in Orange County, South LA County and parts of South Riverside, feel free to e-mail me.

I'll be available in the morning after 9:30 until around noon. My cell phone number is 760-218-6459, which will be the best place to reach me. I'm looking forward to talking with you!

Hey Stephanie,

Yes, I did go to South Coast. I think I was in th 160 - 170 area when you passed the CSR. (I remember the bulletin.) I work both in San Diego and Orange County. I"d be happy to help when I can if you need some coverage between San Diego and Newport, which is about as far north as I can stand going!) My phone number is 760-434-5510.

Hi Stephanie! It's really nice to find you on here. Nicole had mentioned to me you had your own agency, but I never knew the name of it. CONGRATULATIONS! I'm glad you're doing very well for yourself. Hopefully I'll be in your shoes some day.

I would gladly like to be on your list, I'm actually looking to get more work out here because it is pretty slow at times. I cover most of San Bernardino area and Riverside. I'll e-mail my info to the address you gave me. I look forward to working for you!

Take care! Talk to you soon!=0)

Hi Stephanie, Congrats on starting your own agency. As far as your depo tomorrow, I'm sorry I won't be able to cover it as I'm already working in Costa Mesa all day. FYI, I live in Murrieta and I only work 2-3 days a week so I like to try and work all day depos if possible being that I usually have to drive so far. I appreciate you asking and I'm really happy Judy Runes referred me as a good reporter. Let me know if I can be of help another time. Thanks!

Yeah, I joined last night and was just browsing through to see who was on. I saw a few people from SCCCR on here. I think this is a great site! Anyway, yes, I moved from HB to Vegas for my husband's work. He had to open an office in NV, so we picked Vegas. We're out here for two years....one more year to go! :) I'll give you a call to talk about work in Vegas. The rules are different out here than in CA, not sure if you've looked it up or not, but I'll e-mail you the NRS rules regarding reporting for a "foreign agency" not registered with the Nevada Board.
