Thank you. I'm glad that you took some time off and had a good time in Vegas, you deserve it! I'm also glad to hear that you felt the test was good one. If I don't see you in class, I will for sure bug you on here, now that we're friends on CSR Nation =)
What's up? I'm doing all right. We are starting the last six weeks of the summer session tomorrow, so I'm practicing right now. So since I haven't seen you lately, I'm assuming that you felt good with the test? Well, I miss you and hope things are going well. I better get back to practicing so I can go take the CSR exam =) Take care and keep in touch.
I just saw that you responded to my post from ages ago. I wish I'd known. I also see that you made the CSR in June, which I believe was held today? I would love to know how you felt about it, what it was like, etc. I'm at Sage in 120's, but I love listening to other student's success stories.
Hey, Stephanie. You are aware that Aaron did 95% of the work, right? Anyway, I can assure you that my 5% consisted of like the most important parts. :) I am so excited for you, especially of all the good things that are going to come your way! Cheering you on ...
VERY NICE PICS, My Dear Mentee; absolutely beautiful....Congratulations! It's your time now, IT'S YOUR TIME...........NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like Nike says: "JUST DO IT"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Stephanie, I made a schedule. Each day I worked on at least 2 to 3 subjects a day. I studied vocabulary everyday. I triied to switch books in order to cover as much stuff as possible. I graded myself and gave those weaker areas more attention. If I had any doubt, I jotted it down to make sure I covered it. I hope this helps.
Hi Stephanie, sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I'm not really sure what to suggest for you to study besides the study packet your teacher gave you. Your school does give you a CSR study packet when you pass your qualifier, don't they?
When I passed my qualifier I first focused on my writing in preparation for the CSR machine test. I actually think we have an advantage now that we can take our academics separately. But my weakness is vocab. for some reason those words just can't stick in my brain :O. Anyway, I had vocab, medical term, legal term flashcards that I carried around in my purse and whenever I had down time (like the dr.'s office, an appointment, etc.) I would pull them out and review them. I scheduled my English exam and my professional practice one week apart, so that I could focus on each one individually and then I crammed like crazy for each test the week before the tests. I just would go over and over the packet my teacher gave me.
I'm out North and I think you're down South, but there's also an ex-teacher of the school I attended that gives "Mock CSR English Tests" for a fee. So I also paid for those from her, and I think they helped tremendously. Maybe you can check around and see if anybody in your area offers anything like that.
Well, I don't know if I helped, but if you passed that qualifier and finished all your requirements, you're ready and don't think differently. Just focus, focus, focus. Oh, yeah, I also sat in at my local courthouse three days a week to keep my speed up while I was awaiting test day. It also boosted my confidence to know that I was so close to working like that court reporter I was sitting with. Well, Good Luck!! You'll do great.
Hi Stephanie, I agree with the others. I think you should take the CSR in June. I didn't know you were on StenoCAT. Maria, Denise, and I think Jessica are on StenoCAT also. See you tomorrow.
Hey, Stephanie! How's it going? Thanks for saying, "Hi!" Just want to congratulate you again on all your recent successes. You must be so proud of yourself...you should be!!! You are on your way!!! See ya' soon!
Well, you might not find a group to physically drive down with, but if you want to join a group to get a discount, I'm sure we can find you a group to be a part of.
Mark Kislingbury will be in San Diego next month for a one-day bootcamp. He just extended a $50 group rate to ten or more students for his bootcamp today in Sacramento. He probably will extend the same offer for students going to San Diego. I probably shouldn't assume that, but he's so good to students. I know he'll do the best that he can.
It would do you so much good to go. I think I remember you saying you missed him when he talked at your school last summer. Here's a second shot.
If you get a group going, you just can't beat that $50.
Hi again, It was good to get your message. Now, wait a minute,,,,,, are you kidding me?????????????????? YOU are amazing! I have known NO ONE, but NO ONE that has gone through school as fast as you have. I mean that sincerely. You are in deed very, very talented, and you need to realize that!
You should be so very proud of yourself and stand tall. I think we need to get together, and I will rub on your shoulder and see if it helps me!! hahahaha I am so sorry it is taking so much time and money to find the problem with your car. What is it doing? I am practicing from home today, as it is orientation day at this school, and you cannot get in the parking lot, and it is in a bad area and there is no way I will leave my car on the street. Then I go to work at 1:15. But THEN I have two days off of work until Saturday. Yipeeee. Have a good one and I hope to talk to you later!!

That's awesome that you made the June CSR! I unfortunately won't be going but am pretty optimistic about passing in October. Good luck!
