There's a group of reporters meeting up on Sunday, April 13th. I'm not sure if it's going to be at PF Chang's or the Melting Pot yet. You should try and make it. Tell any of your student friends. This would be a great opportunity to meet up working reporters and grill them.

I go to Argonaut court reporting school in Sacramento...I was just wondering how long it took you to get into your 200's, and how you did it. I started school about 5 months ago and I JUST finished beginning theory and tested out of my 40's. Any advice?!

It's been a little slow, but I can't complain. At least, when it's slow I have time to get caught up on transcripts.

Congratulations on getting that last 200. Did you do anything to celebrate/reward yourself?

Wow! Congrats! You were right that you were really close to passing! :-) How many more hours do you need? 'Cuz you need to get those done, huh? And regarding 4-Voice, that's been the rule since I was there, that if you don't have 2 highs and 2 lows, you can't sit in qualifiers. Guess you can't argue with it. That's the curse of going through school so stinkin' fast! :-) Blessing and a curse, for sure... but more of a blessing. But you have time. You'll make the next qualifier, no problem. Don't worry! Just call me the afternoon before the day(s) you want to sit out with me. I don't know my schedule yet. Call me!

I love the flexibility of doing depos. There are good days and bad days. I do all sorts of depos - medical, business litigation. It's a little slow right now, but I know it will pick up. It always feels like you're super busy or really slow. There's not often you get a happy medium. But remember, you control how much you work.
