Linda, Have you been working all weekend??? Just read about your locking up problem. I was hoping your issues would be resolved by now! I'm still working on getting my equipment together as well. Now I hear there may be an issue with the Grand writer and Stenocast RED, which I was going to upgrade to! I'm working all weekend, but I did walk yesterday. How are you doing in the KP-F (exercise) department? I love my new brief: KP-FG, KP-FD, etc. I can write it, but I don't want to do it!

Ah, thanks! My head is a bit better, but around 4:00 a.m. I woke up with a really bad head and it wrecked my sleep. I was supposed to get up early to visit my aunt and uncle at April's house an hour away, but needed to cancel as I felt so wiped out. I'm pretty bummed!

I also found out some news about StenoCast that has added to my frustration. It looks like to refresh properly with Bridge, I need to upgrade to the StenoCast Red. So that's $100. This explains my testing results over the past few days, which weren't quite a waste of time, but still!

What's the latest with your equipment? Did you sell your computer? I worked on an ad for my LS, but another LS user wants me to wait a few days before posting. Any more thoughts about the LS???

I have the Sound Professionals USB microphone and love it. Well, that is until it broke recently. No idea why it broke. And it wasn't cheap. It's like $300 but totally worth it so you don't have to worry about batteries.

Hey, Linda. Too bad we didn't get a chance to meet at the ESP convention in Vegas. Those can be lonely if you don't know anyone. My scopist was there, but we hardly saw each other because we were in different classes.

Linda, I woke up with a super bad sinus headache and am dealing with it. Just got up from a nap and am feeling better. Unfortunately, the version that works with Eclipse the best is the most expensive one. It's the only one that allows you do make the macros. Here's a post. Yes, Vista is something else! I'm quitting too for the night. It's still not working perfectly, but both the Dell on my old cables and the stenocast Acer are showing my tran, refreshing - mostly! My Dell margins are going all over the place so something is off there. It happens when it applies the corrections, I'm thinking. It only has 256 of RAM so that MAY have something to do with it. I'll call support tomorrow. I'm amazed at what I got done today, really. I'm thinking I need to thank the makers of Sudafed!

I'm not really sure where I went wrong before, but I was told to turn off all automatic updates along with the virus protection. I was just told to not use the BT on my Gemini Grand as there's a problem. That may have been my freeze issue the other day. There's so many variables. I just loaded Bridge onto a flash and installed it on my Dell. I'll know if my old RT cables work in a few!

I've been RT'ing to my Acer with Bridge this afternoon and feeling so happy that it's working. My macros are refreshing properly and all. Now I've just turned on my Dell laptop and I'm going to see if I can add it to the mix and use my old RT cables instead of another Stenocast receiver (I have only three).

So you learned some new stuff? I'm so envious! Hopefully it won't take you long to catch up!

Linda, I'm dying to hear about your trip! Sure hope you were able to fix your equipment. My work slowed down somewhat so I'm just scoping a few jobs and paying bills, etc. Yuck! Let me know what's going on with you when you get a chance.

No, no, no! Banish that stress!!! I'm so sorry to hear about your equipment still giving you problems. I can only hope someone helps you out in LV. You'll have a great time. Don't worry over what clothes to bring. Nobody cares. That's what I found out. The days are so intense that the mind is gone by lunchtime. Do you need all the points from the classes? If not, you can wander and rest a bit more while you're there.

You'll be walking around doing errands. If I don't do my tape, I will confess to you tomorrow! I have a pedometer that needs to be calibrated. My postal worker acquaintance, Susan, has been doing four miles every day. She's trying to lose the weight she put on when she quit smoking. I saw her walking to work at 7:30 as I was driving to my job on Thursday. She's losing a pound a week! Let's try together. Try, but not super try. We're a little too stressed right now, right???

Glad to hear you've got a massage scheduled. Very, very smart! Class reunion? So much added pressure. I had one in '04. It was a combo with a few years above mine. Saw lots of people - stressed out about what to wear. Took my friend Debbie (see below!) shopping with me, and she finally understood my shopping complaints. "Jenny, you're right. Nothing does fit you properly. Your proportions really are off!" Duh!!! She can say anything to me because I've known her since the fourth grade.

The thing about the tanning beds is ... you know. A few years ago I stuck my face in one of those machines that print out the sun damage and wrinkles on your face. I forget the name. Anyway, it was truly shocking. That's when I really started cracking down on the sunscreen. I'd love to do it again, but I can't find one of those machines. It was free at Sephora for a while. I thought you might be doing the spray tans. A massage therapist friend of mine used to do those. She sprayed Paris Hilton once when Paris was in SF! I've never tried it.

Good health is a big deal. I told Lisa O'Sullivan on this site last night that I'm giving up ice cream again for a while. Some depoman posters are on a diet race together. It's inspiring! Good luck to both of us on our destressing, healthy plans!
