because I don't trust anything or anybody - Ha! That makes me feel a little better - like I'm not the only one!

I feel our problems are separate issues, but I'll still try the release version. It will be interesting to hear if others report you similar issues in LV. Will you see a show while you're there? What will your husband do while you're in class?

I hear ya about the sanity thing! Now we need to be computer experts as well as reporters! You are more of a maverick - going with a Mac! I never had a freeze issue before last week. I suppose it's possible it's the version of Eclipse I'm on. It's the 4.3.0.6. It hasn't been released yet. I guess I'll go back to 4.2.0.8 for a while. I hate to, though, as I love my AB preferences and the fact that it now will remind me of what's in my own dix when I ask it to. You'll learn so much in Vegas! I'm jealous!!!

Linda, I do have only XP. Last summer I had three different Vista loaners. I am sticking with XP as long as I can. No, I am only working this weekend. My place is a mess, and I am behind as well. I am kind of happy to say I am behind as this means I took a few jobs. Three weeks ago I was completely caught up!

Tomorrow I will go to my sister's to see if I can fix her HP Mini and eclipse. For some reason she is unable to write real-time. It just freezes on her less than one minute into the job. It could be the cable, although it used to work for me perfectly fine. It could be her ini is corrupted somehow. There are so many different reasons. One more computer mystery and hassle to be solved! She's April Floyd on this site. She started reporting when she was 19. Actually got her license when she was 19!

Waaaaaaaaaa!!! I was so hoping you'd get that straightened out easily! I'm also sorry to report that I had problems myself today on my terrible, terrible part 2 of a depo. My Eclipse froze right before we started. And I got there 40 minutes early! So I kept them waiting while I rebooted. I tried to then use the serial cable deal on the Grand instead of Bluetooth, but then it wouldn't connect. I quickly unplugged it, stuck the BT back in, and it worked! I kept them waiting five minutes at least. Hate that! It didn't freeze again, but I can't deal with this kind of stress. Speaking of stress, the deponent at the lunch break went to her doctor to get more blood pressure medication. He took one look at her, checked her PB - it was over 200. He told her she couldn't come back and continue the depo and gave her a double dose of medicine. Poor thing! She's such a high-strung motormouth. I'm really concerned about her. So if you haven't taken your PB, please do so. All these computer problems are bad for our health! I don't know when I'll have time now to call Jason with the Grand - or Eclipse support. Maybe Tuesday ...

That should tell me whether or not my adapter is bad. Yes, that would be great if you can pin it down like that. I'm getting behind in my work now. I turned down a job for tomorrow afternoon from a new firm as my elbows are still bad, and I just realized part 2 of a depo I reported almost two weeks ago is this Thursday. That job isn't done yet!

Those kiddos are the sweetest, I agree!

I sure wish you luck with that. When I talked with Eclipse support today, he told me it most likely was my firewall that caused my job to freeze. I had forgotten to turn off my virus protection. Normally I do that. I normally do not turn off my firewall, but I will from now on! I also do turn off my wireless switch on my actual laptop. I don't suppose your problems have anything to do with your virus protection or firewall, right?

By the way, your picture is great. I love to look at pictures!

There is a group here called Elan Mira Users. If you search for those three words, it should pop up. Otherwise, you can find it on the main page, groups tab. It's on the last page of the groups. It would be great if someone on there knows of a fix.

I answer to anything, especially my sister's name, April. She's on this site as April Floyd. I don't realtime to anyone - YET. The Stenocast X7 is expensive. I am only hoping to need it in the future. There are some new options out from that company. I heard about the new stuff on CRF. See if this helps any. I didn't read it all.

When I get on this site, I go first to the main page, then I look to see what others have been doing and scoot around from there. There's lots to check out!
