Hey there Clay. I thought I would take you up on your invite to drop you a line. Your mom dropped me a line a few months ago. We have something in common. My son is also a court reporting student. Perhaps some day you could share your experience from a "male" perspective with my son, Trevor. And now you are going to the CSR! Congrats. I'm sure Tami is BEAMING with pride! Soon I will know that feeling as well. Take care and good luck to you at the CSR. ~Alexis

All those steno entries go in the integral prefixes and suffexes table. It's like a formula. Some people write the -TD for the ed ending in one stroke so they need a certain entry to be presented with that suggestion - VOETD. Some write a plural -SZ or maybe just -Z (I don't). If you think any little thing is missing for you, ask support or look at what I posted previously on your page. I'm glad it's working for you! Tina Givens had no clue she could get the suggestions the way she writes until she snooped on your page and saw my comments! Hi, Tina! Hehehehe

Clay, I don't want to get you mixed up so close to your big test. Reread my first post to you again. I'm talking about when you do a global. Say you don't have the word vote in your main dix. When you follow what I've told you, the global box will present you with suggestions - vote, voter, voting, voted. Don't worry about it. I just know when this clicks for you, you'll love it. If I had your email address, I could explain more. If you have time and energy, email me at jenlug@pacbell.net, and I'll send you some further info. No worries - no pressure! The CSR exam is the focus!!!

Clay, Here's one:
^ed=-D,-SDZ
^eds=-D,-SDZ
^ing=-G,-GSZ
^ings=-GS,-GSDZ,+FRPLT
^s=-Z,+SD,-FRPBLGT
^s=-S,-DZ,-SDZ
^er=-R,+-FPLGTSD,-PL
^ers=-RS,+GT,-FRPLSD
^ers=-RZ,+GDZ,-FRPLTS
dis^=STK-,STK-

Here's another:
^ed=-D,-DZ
^ing=-G,-GS
^s=-S,-SDZ
^s=-Z,+-D
^er=-R,+-GTSD
dis^=STK-,STK-

Here's some words to try them out with. Your steno may be different. There are "issues" but not many.
vote - SROET proud - PROUD match - MAFP braid - BRAID knife - NAOIF offer - AUFR top - TOP post - POEFT
poll - POL

Clay, You'll see them if you go into user settings/programming/integral prefix and suffix/modify. It's completely copy and pasteable - is that a word? So if you want to try out someone else's table, you can highlight and copy your entire table and, leaving the window open, paste it into notepad, saving it on your desktop with a new title of Old Integral or something. Then copy a new table from someone - like me - and paste it over your highlighted original, getting rid of any extra spaces. If you decide you don't want the new entries after all, just paste your original one back in. It has nothing to do with your main dix. I may send you mine anyway later today. It's not on this computer. You can compare them when you get a chance. I love having my internal G and internal R options.

Clay, I know you've got Eclipse - me too. When you're doing a global of a word like vote - SROET - and you click in the suggestions box inside the global box, do you get presented with SROEGT, SROETD, SROERT, SROETS? Not in that order, though. If you're not getting that, and you want to because you use internal R and G, email me at jenlug@pacbell.net and I'll give you my integral prefix and suffix list. It will also give you the SD for dis. So if you global PLAI, it gives you SDPLAI. I'm jenny on depoman. I'm another struggling user trying to make the LS work. Great news about your taking the CSR!

And I thought Stephanie was just excited to see you here!

Got the ABC footage recorded last night, so whenever you decide to visit this lonely mom again, I'll have the clip for you. :)

Think the 11:00 clip might have been cut down a bit from the 6:00 clip, but it was still awesome footage!

SMOOCHIES!!

me too! but i don't want to find out the results (hopefully successful) from the csr and then be waiting FOREVER for the written results. so i bit the bullet and scheduled them this morning. it takes 2 weeks for the results for those, so i'll still probly know about the csr before that. oh well! it's my own fault!
