This Dell 11 inch screen has awesome audio!!!! Even without a mic hooked up.

It's got great specs, better than most netbooks.   $350.  They say it weighs 3.4 pounds,

but I think it feels more like 4 because my little Fujitsu is 4.1 pounds and this feels just as

heavy.  But the sound is really amazing and the keyboard is really nice!

That's awesome.  I can't use a net book for my main computer that I am writing to; I need to be able to edit all day and net books are too small.  I, however, see lots of reporters using them.  I assume they don't have to do the roughs I do.  I spend no more than 10 minutes at the end of the day cleaning up my roughs and that's because I've been cleaning them up all day.  I have to be able to make corrections conveniently.  Net books are tough because the keys/screen is so small.  Just not for me.

This one has a full size keyboard and the screen isn't as small as most netbooks.  Honestly, I really don't notice

the screen size been too small.

Man, Kelli is organized.  You just gave some great advice about using downtime for cleanup.

Did you all know you can connect a monitor screen to your laptop (look at the little blue spot on the back of the laptop).    Right now I am using a cheap ($60.00) Acer monitor for my desktop.  It is small, but big enough for reading and small enough to put into briefcase rollbag.  I haven't looked lately, but there are adapters so you can connect two or more monitors to a laptop.
