After 43 years in practice, retired RPR, CRR, CMR, CSR (FL, TX & NM), former federal official (Richmond, VA) seeking to build a clientele of reporters to scope or proofread for.  Lots of experience in medical malpractice, contract disputes, personal injury, oilfield , chemical  and product liability cases.  CaseCatalyst software.  I can also noteread and do not necessarily require an audio file.

If I may be of assistance to you, please send an e-mail to or call me at (806) 367-8162.  Resume and references are available on request.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Are you a great writer with a crummy transcript?  Ever have those days where your brain and your fingers just wouldn't connect but have great audio?  I'm an experienced court reporter and scopist who's happy to transcribe from audio only.  Please e-mail me at for rates.

Hello!  I posted in September and got some hits, but it hasn't timed out.  People got busy and became unavailable, or weren't proficient on Stenocat.  I am an LA Superior Court, Court Reporter, and I would like a scopist experienced in STENOCAT and also familiar with doing court format transcripts for LASC.  I'd like to set up someone asap.   Please respond to Ruthy at  Thanks so much.  Your skills are professionalism are appreciated!!

If you like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain...

Just kidding! If you've ever felt like finding a new scopist is like trying to connect on a dating site, let's talk! I'm not looking for the equivalent of a one-night stand. I'm hoping to find THE ONE:  someone for whom I can be their go-to girl, their trusted partner and hyphen whisperer!

I am willing and able to work with full audio, I read steno and am available to help build your dictionary if you need it. I adore CaseCATalyst and put my everything into all my work. References available.  Check out my website or e-mail me:

Oh, sorry.  Important info:  Case Catalyst

Good morning.  I have 3 days of trial under 100 pages each day.  I'm leaving for vacation tonight.  Attorney just ordered expedited.  If I can find 3 scopists to bang one out apiece, it could happen.  Any takers?

My name is Vincent Prewitt, trained Case CATalyst scopist and proofreader. I have an extensive amount of experience editing court transcripts, and I am a former transcriptionist.
While I have been trained and tested on the principles of Morson's English Guide for Court Reporters, I will cater to your preferences should you have those.

Hard worker, very reliable
Attention to detail

To get started, for scoping, I would need any and all files you use when you recorded the transcript (full audio, the actual sgngl file, dictionary files, globals, etc).
For proofreading, all I would need is the sgngl file. Alternatively for proofreading, I can do PDF or use track changes in Microsoft Word.
My schedule is open and available to take work right now and throughout the year except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Normal and expedite turnaround are being accepted at this time. Please send an e-mail to for any questions you have about rates or other general questions about my work.
I look forward to meeting your scoping or proofreading needs in the foreseeable future.

I like long court trials, brief depositions with long-winded attorneys, and starry nights spent falling asleep at my computer (while scoping).

If you are looking for a scopist, look no further! I am an Eclipse 8 scopist looking for one or two more full-time or part-time reporters to fill my daily calendar.

In addition to scoping, I have over 12 years' experience as a medical language specialist.  I am detail oriented, proficient at editing, researching, and transcribing.  I offer lightning fast turnaround times and very reasonable rates.  Please feel free to contact me at for further information.  Thank you!  And have a blessed and beautiful day!

I am hoping to add one CR with steady work (and no drama, please). I am proficient in medical terminology, was a paralegal for 16 years and have experience in all areas of litigation.  I also have experience with SS hearings, Medicaid hearings, criminal defense/appeals, and could start immediately. I have a large hospital bill to pay (of my husband's) and so I am eager and ready to go.  My rates are great (I enjoy the work so I don't charge an arm & a leg).  Please contact me at and let's see if we will make a good team!
