The longer my hair gets, the more my shower drain becomes clogged.  The only thing that has really worked in the past is calling the drain guy, which means making sure I'm home during a four-hour time period so he can get my shower to drain again, and then I get to pay him $50.

I just bought this handy dandy tool at Home Depot called Zip-It for less than 3 bucks!  And it works!!!  I stuck this long, thin, spikey thing down my drain and pulled up... well, it was disgusting.  But my drain is draining perfectly again and I didn't have to take time off, didn't have to lock the dogs away in the back, blah, blah, blah, and am done paying $50 a pop to clean hair out of a drain.

I know this is so not on the topic of court reporting, but nonetheless I am sharing my happiness with this Zip-it product.

Who makes Lip Stain?  Is that the name of the product?  My mom has those smoker's lines that come up from your lips.  She's never smoked a day in her life.  That means I'm going to get them too and that's where the lipstick seems to want to go.  Good to know what type of lipstick to get when this happens.  A girl's gotta be prepared!

It's a type of product, kind of like lip gloss, lipstick, lip stain.  Different companies make it, but not a whole lot from what I can find.  I've found it at Sally's and Ulta.  But the stuff can't bleed into the lines.  I've never smoked either, but lived with a smoker for 16 years.  That, and I am 53, so I guess I'm not too surprised that it's happening.

I too had the wire hanger that was sitting in the corner of my bathroom, waiting for the next time I needed it.  There came a time it stopped doing the trick, though.

Hi, Judy.  I agree it's a great invention. And it's easily stored under the sink because it's so small.  After using the old twisted apart coat hanger, my husband bought this a few years ago to use in our bathroom sink drain. I think the Home Depot sales person told him about it.  Yes, it's disgusting, but what a difference. Luckily our shower has a big drain and pipe so it doesn't seem to get clogged.
