I would really like some suggestions on how to keep my mind focused and not distracted while at home doing transcripts. I try to minimize the distractions, but I'm my own worst enemy. I get so bored working on long transcripts. Does anyone else have this issue? I'd really like to be more productive with my transcribing time.
Thanks!

After about 4 hours, I go take a nap and rest my eyes for about 45 miinutes. That really helps me get through.
Do you keep some good music going on in the background? I do that when I'm doing something tedious and it keeps the bored side of my brain occupied and happy.
I've found that stopping every 2 or 3 hours for a little exercise break helps me stay focused. It's also important to drink lots of water. It's been clinically proven that for those who are studying or doing work that requires sustained mental concentration, drinking water allows the mind to stay focused for longer periods of time.
