Hi All!

Looking for a new mike and wanted to know of your favorites.  I saw some posts back in January and wondering if that microphone is still good and what you all like.    I prefer USB and no battery.

Thanks!

Thank you, Janet!

Thank you, everyone!

I just bought 2 mikes the usb and the other one and i am SOOOOOO excited for them to arrive!!! it's a little weird how excited i am!!! LOL

thanks for all the feedback

Why did you buy two?

I bought 2 so I could daisy chain them.  I am tired of worrying about the end of the table or the room.  also for back up.  I hope it works!!!

You don't need the daisy chain for a typical deposition, but it will  be great for courtrooms or hearings or a long conference table.   As I said before, the USB mic picks up voices that I struggle to hear.

Can you explain exactly what a daisy chain is?

A daisy chain is:

dai·sy chain

Noun:
A string of daisies threaded together by their stems.
Verb:

Connect (several devices) together in a linear series.

and:

In electrical and electronic engineering a daisy chain is a wiring scheme in which multiple devices are wired together in sequence or in a ring

Daisy chain has a similar but slightly different meaning whether used in the electrical sense or the financial sense.

I've noticed lately the CM-1000 USB microphone that I bought, it cuts out and some of the words that I've written are not on the audio/wave file.  That's concerning.  I've noticed that lately.  Anyone else have this problem??

I have had this happen to me on one occasion that I am aware of; however, I just started using the microphone.  I will have to tell my scopists about this.  I purchased two of them after reading this thread. It will be interesting to see what other reporters have to say, especially ones who have been using this mic a lot longer than you and I.

Great post, Kelli.
