Does anyone know who would be empowered to swear a witness in England?

The depo is via videoconference, the CR is on this side of the pond

The folks at the vc place in London are clueless!

Thanks,

Sean

Hi Sean!

I'd give this a try:

There's a listing of notary publics in the UK.  They should know how to proceed.

BTW, nice to see you here.  I just checked your page to see if you're the Sean McDonald I know.  You are.  :)

Hi Janet!

Thank you for your quick response; you always were my hero! ;>)

Hope this finds you well!

Best Regards,

Sean

When I went to London and did some depos, the (American) attorneys stipulated that I was empowered to swear in the (English) witness.  Not sure if that's an option for you.

Thank you for your input, Deborah!

But all parties, except the witness, are here in the US. I guess they could stipulate that the American reporter can swear, but we have some unusual notary rules here in Massachusetts.
