Court Reporter/Stenographer

VesEqu is looking for court reporters.

  • CANDIDATES MUST HAVE TRAINING OR RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AS A COURT / STENO REPORTER TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION

We are a nationwide court reporting and transcription company. We currently have a need for reporters to appear in-person for hearings in Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas. (Remote work is also available.)

General Requirements:

  • Must be able to provide NCRA, NVRA, NYSCRA Certification Credentials -OR- proof of successful completion of an accredited court reporting program
  • Be legally eligible to work in the United States
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Commit to meeting all deadlines
  • Candidates must have reporting equipment for in-person hearings (reporting software, audio interface with a minimum of four channels and microphones)
  • Must have digital reporting training or relevant experience
  • Be able to upload and download files and use other basic computer functions
  • Reporters must have their own reporting equipment.
  • Have a high-speed internet connection
  • Reliable mode of transportation

Compensation and Onboarding:

You will be an independent contractor and will be compensated on a per-project/assignment basis.

Compensation will include:

  • Daily appearance fee
  • Supplemental Transcript Income - Opportunity to earn additional income
  • Travel expenses reimbursed, if necessary
  • Equipment Allowance - $500 annually
  • Weekly pay via direct deposit

Candidates selected for this position will be required to undergo an onboarding process that involves completion of required paperwork and familiarizing yourself with the workflow system you'll be using. Additional information about our onboarding process will be provided to candidates selected for this position.

Since this is a contractor opportunity, the offered compensation is variable and will be based on the number of cases covered by the reporter.

Priority for work is given to applicants who maintain excellent quality standards in the submission of their assignments.

What To Expect Next

Applicants who meet the selection requirements will be placed on an eligible list which will remain valid for up to one year and may be invited to participate in an oral interview. This will include verification of the equipment requirements and of real-time capability, and a transcription and read-back exercise to demonstrate knowledge, skills, abilities, and readiness for the position.
