Here we go.

My Mira is working so much better after my overhaul and cleaning from StenoDoctor. Since my machine was back to factory settings, I followed Stenograph's suggestion about making my adjustments to depth, tension, sensitivity in the order they deem best. Lo and behold, my Mira is rarely stacking (twice in 130 pgs) and I'm not getting any dribbling/repeating of letters. I previously posted the machine adjustment order somewhere in this group. I'm going to print it out and send it to my authorized service provider so that they can give a copy to Mira owners after a cleaning/refurbishment. I sure would have liked that info myself.

Regarding a maintenance contract, Tom Janus/Stenograph accepted my work order from StenoDoctor which outlined work done to my Mira and that it was brought back to factory settings. I was able to purchase their basic / no loaner maintenance contract at regular price. And my whole reasoning for doing this is that I want the software updates. Unfortunately you can't get the updates unless you're on a contract.

If any of you are still experiencing problems, please let Stenograph now. Be a squeaky wheel. Stewing in your own juice just turns you into a prune -- I oughta know . . .

Hi, April! Happy 4th of July to you. First and foremost, I was very sorry to here about the passing of your beloved dog. If I ever lost Memphis or Fizz I don't know what I would do. Talk about unconditional love. Hope all is well with your son. I appreciate what he is doing! Where is the StenoDoctor located, by the way? I am in South Florida, but I would like to send my machine to someone who really knows the Mira, and it sounds like they do. Also, would you be kind enough to e-mail me this document you were speaking about regarding the adjustment order? Thank you! Darline
